Eat in, eat outside. They smoke it inside. So the smell is everywhere. Gift shops lots of open land there. It seemed like a family event. I had a giant 48 oz ribeye. I believe there was a band. I sampled some of my friends food, portions were huge. Price was on the higher side. But, its a ton of food. we were all pleased. It was a blast.

Hellooooo “world travelers”!!! 👋 If you happen to be at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, United States 🇺🇸 and you are open to trying something delicious, you must check out The Salt Lick...Barbeque Like No Other. 🤗 They know how to cook!!! 🏆 They have an EXCELLENT menu, portions good-sized with plenty to enjoy leftovers on the plane ✈️ onto your next destination. 👍
I want to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT TO MADLENE AND TADROS!!! 🥰🥰 They are super friendly, passionate, nothing more wonderful than to be received with HUGE SMILES 😁😁 like a WARM HUG after waiting at gates and flying around all day long. 🥱🥴. This dynamic team (see photo) will be sure to wake you up and promise you a “delightful” meal! 😋 Thank you, Shenouda for taking my call. I ate at your restaurant in 2023. Clearly, it is never too late to share positive feedback! 😇 🙏 🥳 Thank you, Madlene and Tadros for being so cool. 😎

I have flown thru DFW a number of times. I lived in Dallas and miss good bbq. I goofed and never got to the original location in Driftwood. This is my second best option. Everytime I fly thru DFW I head and pick up 3 or 4 brisket sandwiches to take with me. They have always been so nice here and get my sandwiches for me quickly. Plus the location which is by gate a16 is also right under the tram stop for all the terminals. Yiu can get off the tram for gate a16 and head downstairs on the south side and salt lick is right there. No matter what terminal you are in. You can hit salt lick. To me this is a no brainer. Go to driftwood if you can. If not hit this place everytime you fly thru dfw.

Had a layover in Dallas, we were hungry and stopped by. Food is absolutely mediocre and very dry. For the price you pay it should be top tier definitely a disgrace to real Texas BBQ🥴

Don’t waste your time. Overpriced and over cooked.

I've had Salt Lick a few times before and was doing a layover at DFW so I needed some lunch. While it isn't exactly the main location for the restaurant, I was very pleased with the flavor in my smoked sausage sandwich and mac 'n' cheese. The gentleman ringing up the order was pleasant and Catrina was very lovely on the way out. It definitely hit the spot and glad I can still rely on Salt Lick for a good meal.
The Mac & cheese was awesome! The sweet tea was flavorful. But sadly, my brisket was pretty dry :(
The BBQ sauce was good, it reminded me of a sweet onion sauce mixed with traditional bbq sauce. The nachos were very filling. Overall, I would go back.
Food was sub par. I’m not used to mustard flavored bbq sauce either. Didn’t like the extra credit card fees either. Eat elsewhere!
Food is “meh”. If you can stand them calling out the number of order to be picked up throughout your meal, this is the place for you. No quiet dining.
Fabulous BBQ hangout at Dallas fort Worth airport. Best food I've ever eaten in the airport and the service was Top notch! Terrell hooked me up with the best ribs I've ever eaten at a restaurant! Try their food - I promise you won't be disappointed!
