Great spot with great food like the sea bass enchiladas I enjoy and the fish tacos are great but even better if you switch the fried fish with shrimp, Additionally, in the enchiladas the coleslaw is perfect.

Had been here before, but food wasn't as good this time. Crabcakes were okay, a little mushy. My friend said the scallops tasted fishy (I know, it's seafood). Service was fabulous. The crab dip appetizer was pretty good.

The waiter we had just didn’t want to listen to what he was being asked. We asked for items he forgot to bring them. We asked him again. He forgot to bring them. Finally we have to get somebody else to bring the items or we were asking for. We asked for the bill to be split a certain way and it comes back with the bill all mixed up I specifically outline which items need to go on one bill and he made it seem that it was a big deal. The drinks were slow to come to the table. One person in my party complained about her food, and the manager on duty jumped on it immediately and took care of the situation so kudos to her. The gumbo was super thick, I should’ve known better being from New Orleans. The food was OK but overpriced for the quality that you get. I’m normally not as harsh with a restaurant, but this was not a good experience at all for me all the people in my party. I know personally, as well as several people from my party will never go back again.

Have been a customer since 2009, have had many different dishes, most very good and some just okay, but tonight I had the worst.. the lobster roll is imo a loss for me! The roll was nothing but a butter soaked mess, a mere 3 pieces of lobster meat, and cold chips 🤔 I could hardly wait for my wife to finish her meal so we could go and just get the plate out of my view… I should have taken the persons hint when I asked how hers was and she said just so so, and she was a regular as well, o well maybe the next visit will be better(it better be)! And I have noticed that the indoor volume level just keeps increasing, I just don’t understand why people have to yell at each other while dining, it makes my decision to visit an easy one over a more quiet respectful indoor environment!!!

This fun little market/restaurant nestled in Preston Hollow has some very tasty cocktails and seafood, and the staff was outstanding.

Our server provided an excellent recommendation on the fish tacos. I met a friend whom I haven't seen in a while. We talked for a long time and no one hurried us. Thanks for a good time!

It’s a shame to have to write this but after three consecutive visits with the same result I feel compelled to comment.
While my wife and I have enjoyed TJ’s, they have a a consistent issue preparing salmon and refuse to make any adjustments.
Our most recent visit was on Saturday, June 7th to celebrate our anniversary.
My wife loves salmon and when the server told us they had Copper River salmon, my wife was very excited and ordered the special.
My wife has had issues with the salmon at TJ’s being over cooked and specifically asked to have it prepared medium rare. The server informed her each time that the chef “likes” to prepare it medium.
Had it come out even close to medium it may have been edible. However, the salmon was medium well at best and close to well done. It was completely dried out. In my wife’s words, they ruined a great piece of fish.
This has happened 3 times in a row, and while the chef is certainly entitled to their opinion, if a customer wants their salmon medium rare (what MOST chefs and foodies prefer), then chef should prepare it that way.
The chef is not paying for or eating the salmon, and I question the quality of ANY chef that would send out a piece salmon prepared that poorly, especially Copper River.
So disappointing.

My husband and I have been here a couple of times and the food is great, but I have ordered the salmon each time and asked specifically for it medium rare and each time I have been told the chef likes to cook it to medium, but if I want medium rare he will do medium rare. Well let just say every time it was over cooked. Last night we were celebrating our anniversary so we come here and they have cooler river salmon. If you’ve never had copper river salmon it is by far the best salmon you will ever have. Well they over cooked it to the point it was dried out. It is a crime to over cook copper river salmon and to pay that much and ask for it to be medium rare is a crime! My husband told me to send it back, but I don’t like to send food back. Needless to say if we go back I won’t be ordering the salmon. My husband sea bass was delicious and not over cooked. How hard is it to not over cook something!
My husband, and sleeping baby walked in for Sunday lunch. The hostess was extremely hospitable and seated us immediately. When walking in an older lady with short brown hair who is a server there started barking at the hostess not to seat us in her area because there’s already too many people there. Then the old lady walked up to us and asked what we wanted to drink. We told her water and then my husband went on to try and order a cocktail and before he could finish his sentence she loudly stated “all of you walked in all together so it’s going to have to wait” there were 3 other people there and isn’t that how any restaurant operates? People walk in together. She was beyond rude and does not need to be working as a hostess if she cannot handle more than one customer at a time. Our baby woke up immediately with her stern loud comment and we got up and left. Who wants that kind of attitude when all you wanted was a peaceful brunch?

Was here last night party of 4. Was seated quickly as we had a reservation. We started with the lava shrimp and shrimp cocktail both excellent! 2 of us had the halibut special which was excellent. 1 ordered the swordfish special- again was excellent. Lastly was the sea bass enchiladas - bad. Was really disappointed because the first visit when ordered was excellent. Second and third time not so good- cold. Since my husband really loved this dish the first time, thought to give it one more try. Super miss- was cold, sent back and all they did was nuke the dish, was so obvious. Please TJ take this off the menu or get it right.
