Kitchen + Kocktails Reviews
The food is delicious, but when it comes to paying for your food they bring this little machine to your table to payout mine you they already put the gratuity on your bill, even if there is 2 or more. The waiter or waitress have a nerve to ask for additional tips, but you don’t know that they already charge you gratuity and asking for more money. I don’t think this is fair and right to do. Me and my husband came for our anniversary we enjoyed everything, but telling us that...read full review

We had an interesting and disappointing experience.
First there was no close parking. My husband had to pay a nearby hotel for valet parking because the two parking lots close by were full.
Second, we arrived on time for our 6 pm reservation and were taken upstairs until a table was available.
The room we were taken to felt like we were in a Russian nightclub, and not in any kind of good way. It was dark with weird music.

Visited Dallas last summer with military friends and ate lunch and dinner at KK. A live band while enjoying dinner was nice. Food was excellent. Shrimp/grits, mac n cheese, yams, porckchops, black eyed peas all were delicious. Looking forward to revisiting this summer.

Kitchen + Kocktails is a popular spot known for its lively and fun atmosphere. The seating area is nice, and the restaurant remains busy on Sundays. The food is excellent and delicious, with dishes that are rich and flavorful, giving a comforting, home-cooked taste. The menu includes shrimp and grits, mac n cheese, yams, egg rolls with unique fillings, deviled eggs with blackened shrimp, chicken and butter pecan waffles, and banana pudding for dessert. Guests can also enjoy hand-crafted lemonades and frozen drinks, including the mango lemon drop and the toasted marshmallow espresso martini.
The service is attentive, friendly, and prompt, enhancing the relaxed and enjoyable experience. A live band adds to the amazing atmosphere during dinner, and the noise and music are perfect for conversation. Portions are generous, and each dish is thoughtfully prepared. The ambiance is lively, especially with a DJ that makes the environment very pleasant, creating a great spot for dates or family outings. The food and drinks are consistently praised, with fried green tomatoes, fried chicken, grits, and cocktails being favorites. The stuffed salmon and mac and cheese are standout dishes, with the mac and cheese called the best from a restaurant. The restaurant is known for its delicious food, outstanding service, and great atmosphere, making it an excellent place for drinks, pictures before an event, brunch with friends or family, or visiting Dallas.
However, some guests mention that the food can be a bit salty, but still enjoyable overall. One concern raised is about the payment process, where gratuity is already included, and staff asking for additional tips, which some find unfair and not good for business. Despite this, many visitors enjoy the experience, especially for special occasions like anniversaries, and appreciate the lively ambiance created by the live band and DJ.
