I guess if you are a group of white people you will immediately be declined. We are high end and spend money. Not white trash! The guys out front allowing people in made sure that we understood we were not allowed entry because we were white. Even their “security rent cop” said something to the effect “too white for the candy shop”. It was the most absurd thing we’ve ever encountered in Deep Ellum. Evidently the crowd just isn’t our crowd. It’s very sad because we enjoy the deep ellum scene. Every 10 years DE goes down hill… looks like that time is here again. Don’t waste your time or money here!

Love this place. I would have never known about it had I not followed some people. The energy was great. The music was great. The drinks were average for being deep ellum. Esthetics inside were nice. The couches did have lots of tears in them but it's dark so who cared. The security was alert and active so that's great. There's a general space and then a smaller room which has a smaller bar area. I'm pretty sure they don't serve food here.

Cool concept, but just another overpriced Deep Ellum nightclub.
As a Dallas weekend visitor, I was scouring social media & Google reviews to find a cool looking bar with dancing. Decided to try out this speakeasy & I could not be more happy with the result! The DJ, decor and cocktails were all amazing. We got here at about 9:45pm, and it was dead for a solid hour. At 11ish, it filled up with people dancing & we had a blast the rest of the night.While you can get bottle service & a table, you don't have to. In fact, if you get there early like we did, you might get lucky by sitting at an empty table and not getting kicked out. It was the perfect in-between of a dark lit, artsy cocktail bar & a club. We didn't wanna go somewhere that only played EDM and spend hundreds on bottle service. This place had reasonably priced, good cocktails. Servers were nice. Music was hip hop/ throwbacks. And the whole candy shop entrance was super cool- took 2 seconds to find the password on Instagram. Would definitely choose this again!

After being in this speakeasy for less than 90 seconds, the manager attempted to arrest us for using the incorrect restroom in the bar (woman in men’s restroom). The restrooms are labeled with photos of animals and not actual genders. It was very easy to assume they had gender neutral restrooms. The manager barged in on the woman in the stall and attempted to remove me from the urinal (midstream). He said he notified DPD that we entered the restroom together and they were on standby to take us into custody. Once he realized we were not drunk or incoherent, he offered no apology, told the police to stand down. We left immediately.

Despite Facebook and Google telling us they were open that were not. I tried calling and had to text with someone to find that out. So I wasn’t able to enjoy it.I love the concept. However it does sound more like a club with bottle service than a speak easy. Just wish I could have experienced it.
Fun place located in Gotham City. You will get all your cardio in running from the neighborhood. Your car will also be a partial convertible after your windows are smashed out. Nobody is dancing here. Enjoy!

Booked a table for my 10 year anniversary for Thursday at 9pm. Was in the area early had dinner near by. Checked their website saw they opened at 8 so we decided to go a few mins early, they were closed and when I called they told me they don't open till 10. Didn't stick around to find out.
