Don’t come expecting good TexMex food. While the drink menu is impressive, the food isn’t. Chips were too thick and tough, street tacos are tiny things, and the green enchiladas come with a poor red sauce. Need to reprint the menus.

Food was surprisingly decent. Had a way overpriced carnitas burrito for $17 and a glass of wine for $18.

As we were stuck on a layover to our Calif Destination due to our original flight being delayed, we thought a little chips n salsa with a quick cocktail would distract us from our flight frustration. Needless to say although the 2 servers tagteaming our 2 top were on point the chips & salsa were just "ok" , the Margarita not thirst quenching and $40 for my husband's 1 Bourbon drink was beyond OUTRAGEOUS. When the bill was brought to the table and I saw the $76.86 total I waived the server down to inquire. He went and asked the Manager about the bourbon overcharge and was told " that's what Corporate charges". Let's call it what it is, "CORPORATE GREED" . IN NASHVILLE TN BOURBONS ON BROADWAY AREN'T $40 A DRINK. A small bottle of Buffalo Trace is under $40 in Nashville that yields 8-10 pours.
TXMX at the DFW airport is NOT about serving customers a great experience rather putting out mediocre and OVERPRICED food & beverage.
Never again while laying over through DFW would I give TXMX my business. SHAMEFUL!!!!

In general the experience was good, however I think that more variety is needed in the dishes, the service was average, it took a long time to get to the table and the atmosphere was pleasant

The prices are way too high for what you get. Basically an overpriced Taco Bell.

FIRST AND LAST TIME at this location the RUDENESS of the hostess with BLUE hair was terrible. Made my coworker and myself feel so bad because we asked about employee menus. She was so rude reminding us that we could only order to go. I asked for a TXMX bowl with picadillo and the bowl had zero meat. She made us feel like we were bothering her for ordering. TXMX you just LOST two first time customers who come to Dallas airport ALOT!!!!!

Food was awful. I paid $6 for carne asada on my salad and there was maybe 1 oz of meat. And it was awful meat. They only had Italian dressing to go on my Mexican salad. So bad

Worst place in DFW. Terrible service. Ordered a chicken salad bowl and it took them forever. I paid at 13:28 and went to the restroom, came back to the counter and it was not ready. I asked how long and they said another 5 mins. My flight was about to begin boarding so I asked for a refund at 13:41. They said it will take 30 mins for the refund process. Really? They came in and out of the kitchen a few times and finally it was ready at 13:43. No one ordered anything before me so I have no idea what were they doing. And the food came out disgusting. NEVER going back.

My overall experience was unfortunately pretty normal these days. It took a few minutes for the bar tender to warm up to me and smile. But she was preoccupied with talking on her phone. I noticed it wasn’t tea busy so some of the waitstaff had their phones out , too. I will probably not ever get used to or allow people to use their phones for personal use on company time. It’s deplorable.

This was the closest option near my gate and it had been 2 years since I have enjoyed Mexican food.
I was pleasantly surprised by the food quality and flavor.
The rice was a bit hard but it was good. The carnitas were delicious and the portions were just right.
The hostess was a bit rude and the waitress seemed like she had better things to do than wait on me. The lady sitting next to me asked for a to go box but left after she never received it. I did see two other disgruntled men complain about splitting a check so perhaps my waitress was too busy dealing with these guys to come check on me.
I would go back if they had a brick and mortar outside of DFW airport because I do like the menu, decor and the prices.
Just not the rude hostess.

We loved the open air atmosphere of this sit down restaurant. It was a nice touch having Cholula brand sauce right on the table. Flavor was good but not overly powerful. Chips were fresh and cripsy. Our server asked about our layover time and made recommendations for what would fit our time. I'd definitely return as long my layover allows.

Great service, awful food and overpriced. I have lived in Texas all my life and I have never had enchiladas dry with no sauce or cheese. Literally it was a tortilla with chicken on the inside and a very small stripe of sauce across the middle. And they were tiny it looked like taquitos. The music was blaring! The rice and beans were dry. There was shredded lettuce with a little bit of jalapeno cut on it, a few pieces of diced tomato. We were starving so I ate it. I had to ask for table salsa to make the enchiladas edible.

All the negative reviews written before are true. Experienced all of them. Very small portions, bland taste, no proper customer service.
