Soul was our waiter he was amazing! Great recommendations and on top of it all evening, made sure to check in a lot when the kitchen got slammed and food started coming out slower. Never a bad experience at uchiba!
Wonderful food, ambiance, and service! Our server, KJ, provided unmatched service and made our dining experience very delightful! The food was also delicious, especially the sushi and brussels sprouts. Will definitely return!
Really good casual date spot, Japanese food particularly the shishito peppers was best I have had in Dallas
It's always been a good experience, but this time our waiter was super busy which ended up taking a long time on drinks and bringing out our orders. It ruined the experience since we were left waiting on food and drinks. Every other time was great but this happened to be a one time thing
I honestly feel like I come here on a weekly basis!! I love the food & drinks. It's always a pleasurable experience when we go to Uchibā
We came earlier and requested to sit outside, but it was quite a struggle for them to accommodate us. They gave us only a 40-minute timeframe, and toward the end, our waitress was rushing us. Overall, it turned into a rather chaotic experience, especially since it was our first time there and we came to celebrate my friend's birthday.
We are neighbors to Uchi The service has gone down . It used to be top! For the price tag !!
Seats were bench style and uncomfortable. Without any cushions, the service is extremely slow both times that I went, it took us over two hours to finish our dinner and we ordered all upfront. It was so ridiculous. They apologized the first time I gave us a coupon, the second time they didn't even do that. Above all, Their ballet damaged our car! They didn't even tell us until 1.5 hours after the incident occurred, and made us wait that whole meal to find out. The worst experience.
Outstanding experience. My favorite place to bring people from out of town, to dine. I always sit at the bar and am impressed with the staffs knowledge of the menu.
If you're willing to spend a bit of money to try something unique, memorable, and absolutely delicious, this is the place for you
Restaurantji Recommends
The food is next level, the drinks are spot-on, and the whole vibe is modern but still welcoming. You can also eat upstairs at their other concept, and honestly, both are amazing. Highly recommend if you’re into food that surprises you in a really good way. EVERYTHING is REALLY good
Our server KJ was incredible!! He was super responsive and helpful/knowledgeable on the menu.
Always have an excellent experience, the staff and the food is some of the best in the city. Sometimes gets a little loud.
I love this restaurant but I think you are understaffed and the service was not good. She brought out our appetizer halfway through the meal. I think you can do better. Your bus boys are great but the rest of the staff not so much
I'd been to Uchi but wanted to try their more casual upstairs bar so booked a resy at Uchibā for a sister date. The hostesses were welcoming and so sweet as soon as we walked in the doors. Our server was great, he ensured we liked our drinks and educated us on the items on the menu (we're familiar with this cuisine having spent time in Japan, but is was refreshing to hear him explain each item so we let him). A large party next to us was gaining people and getting rowdier by the minute and needed more space. So, about halfway through our dinner, the manager came up to us very politely and quietly asking if we would be kind enough to switch tables so that the larger party could have more space. She did preface with the fact she'd never had to do this before and even apologized for having to ask. Now, at first I was surprised to be asked this but after realizing that we'd have better seating away from this loud group of men, we agreed to move. As we sat down at our new booth, the manager was gracious enough to comp or next drinks. Super good cocktails by the way, lychee martini for the win. The sashimi was delicious, the oysters were quite good - I was a little nervous at them being east coast, as a spoiled west coast girly but they were light and refreshing. We also tried the pho dumplings, which were 4 and small in size, they were delicious, but for the price I'd probably skip next time. The madai crudo and Hama chili are always a must and if you're ever feeling big back, get the uchiba fried milk, they also serve down stairs and it's soo good.
