Yay, I'm back in college! I'm one of those people that loved school, both undergraduate and graduate. Matter of fact, I really could have been a professional student, if I had some deep-pocketed parents. But I didn't. (And my dad would have disowned me if I had tried foregoing the getting a real job thing.) I still kick myself over not going back to school, years later into my career, and getting my PhD in an attempt to procure a college teaching gig. C'est la vie. While I was back at college, it was only for a short visit which included a meal in the SMU Lee Dining Hall. The thing I liked most was stirring up those old memories from ions ago, snagging a fast meal on my old campus in the dining hall before I sprinted to my next class. On the Saturday I visited Lee, the student crowd was minimal, undoubtedly enjoying other meal options off campus during the weekend. As a result, there was only a few serving stations open, besides the salad bar. No, I'm not going to critique each of my selections. After all, this is college dining hall food, not Nobu or Fearings. Nope, there wasn't a selection of sashimi or a New York strip to be found. And college kids being college kids, probably the biggest hit was the pizza station. But for me, the most edible food item was the salad bar. I don't know if or when I might end up again in the dining hall of a college campus. But regardless of the food choices or quality, I did enjoy my stroll down memory lane.

Love the omelette. Sometimes they have Indian food or tex-mex and those are decent as well.

Umphrey Lee's Tex Mex food is very good. I love chili with Fritos. They use very fresh Fritos and the chili is very good too. I like tacos too. The service is a bit bad, but it's not really a restaurant. The price is very cheap, just one swipe of the card. The atmosphere is good, but they have many university students. I usually recommend Umphrey Lee's Tex Mex food.

I love to eat meals at Lee. Their eggs are to die for and definitely not fake. I love their pizza because the grease helps me shove more delicious slices down my throat. Everyone's favorite Lee dish is the Pangasius. We eat so much Pangasius, we almost drove the species to near extinction! Nothing beats the feeling of a warm Lee meal after a long day. Shout out to Umphrey Lee Dining Hall.

This was the designated dining hall for our camp while at SMU. It's pretty big with quite a few food options. They have a sandwich bar where you can get a sandwich or wraps. They also have gluten free bread. There is a salad bar with a decent amount of veggies and about 8 dressing options. They have your traditional pizza, burger, chicken fingers, and pasta options. On some days they do a grilled chicken with veggies and rice that's really good. The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. This is a decent place to eat while on campus.
