My second visit to Uncle Calvin's. A small, fairly intimate venue featuring regional talent in the folk music genre. Coffee and dessert available for purchase. Receptive audience. Had a very enjoyable evening. Check Uncle Calvin's website for entertainment schedule.

So great! I hope they go back to every week. Soulful original music by some of the greats in folk music.
David Roth
One of the iconic folk venues anywhere for many decades. First played there in the mid 1980's and it's still an honor.

We attended a performance by Canadian songwriter/musicians who performed their own original songs with just a few covers. They were fantastic and they were also humorous. Here a few things to know if you want to go. It's a mature crowd. Tickets are sold in advance on their website. They have 3 ticket categories, Adult/Senior/Student. The desserts, coffee and tea looked so good. I'm sure they were. The thing is this, credit and debit cards aren't useful. It's volunteer run and cash only. Those slices of pie did look good so next time I will be prepared with cash. If you enjoy live music performances and don't need alcohol then I think you will enjoy Uncle Calvin's Coffee House.

This is one of the most wonderful venues for live music in the Ft Worth/Dallas area. They have some of the best performers there with very reasonable snacks and coffee. No booze allowed since this event is held in a large church. You are up close and personal with all the musicians. I dont know of a better place for entertainment on a Friday night.
