One of the best low key sandwiches in all of Deep Ellum!! We tried the Clara Peller Sandwich with the Sweet Potato Waffle Fries and it was absolutely delicious!! If they can add a sauce for the waffle Fries it would take them over the top!! Staff was super friendly and made a great food recommendation. If you're looking for a drink or a quick bite to eat this is a solid stop while in the area.

Meh. It pains me to say this but Uncle Ubers was a massive disappointment. For starters it shouldn’t be $70+ with tip for four sandwiches. That’s insane.We haven’t been here in 12 years, and when we lived in expo park, near deep ellum, it was an absolute favorite. I’ve missed it and spoke highly of this place. We were excited to bring our kids here. Waste of money.Shaved ribeye sandwich used to be outstanding, but on our visit, it was so wet and overstuffed and not in a getting more for your money exciting sort of way. It was just a gross mess. The bread isn’t as good, bigger maybe, but not as tasty. The pork “bun mi” also used to be absolutely delicious, not anymore. If you used to frequent this place when it first opened— hold on to those memories, because the sandwiches aren’t the same. Their fries? Those ARE still pretty darn good. The burger was still alright, too.Just bummed. It was dead in there at lunch time, guess we should have known it wasn’t going to be the same. This place used to be hopping. Also. The women’s room stinks. ?

The food was absolutely amazing. That ribeye sandwich has been on my mind since I left.The place was clean enough, but it could stand to be spruced up a bit.Our service was solid. I was in a bit of a hurry and she wasted no time getting us our order.I will definitely be back.
