The food was absolutely delicious with a wide variety of vegetable and meat options available. I thoroughly enjoyed the smothered pork chops, greens, black-eyed peas, and hot water cornbread. I'm already looking forward to returning very soon.

Visited yesterday for the catfish, which is usually off the chain, however yesterday it was too salty. They also seem to never have fried okra. Sill good place to get real fried catfish.

Absolutely delicious! The name has changed to "Hunnicut Cafe" so my husband and I almost passed it up but I am so glad that we did not. Between my husband, our daughter and myself, we ordered neckbones, smothered pork chops and a turkey leg with mac and cheese, cabbage and dressing which came with cornbread so we had plenty of leftovers. Lol The owner was incredibly sweet and patient. They also provide generous portions so it's a winning situation! We will definitely be going back.

I visited here after church and was underwhelmed. I ordered the chicken and dressing with a side of greens and cabbage. The chicken was bland, the dressing was ok, but the cabbage and greens were really good. Also the the Kool-aid was awesome and the staff was really nice!!! Although If I'm going to spend $38.00 though for two meals I want to be able to write home about it.

A must go to place... The chapter of the fraternity that I am a member of ordered catfish, chicken wings, hush puppies, seasoned fries, and Texas toast with the peppers n pickles. The taste of their food is burned into my memory and taste buds. Flavortown don't have anything on them... Be sure to order early because the kitchen shuts down at 6:15 P.M. I'm personally going to drive there (30-40 minutes) just for another meal. ???

I had the fish basket. It was seasoned perfectly. You get 3 huge filets, fries, pickle chips, hush puppies and jalapeno peppers, all for $8.00! And they sell Koolaid! You can't go wrong with Koolaid!
