This is a great simple coffee shop with a beautiful outdoor area. Perhaps it helped that it was spring, but there was green grass, green trees, and a nice breeze.I ordered the pour over, and they provide various options (type of equipment/ceramic used, type of bean) and I thought they did a stellar job. The amazing flavors of an Ethiopian bean were allowed to shine.Additionally, they charged less than I expected for a pour over (my point of reference for pour over would be Ascension which I think was around $11....I paid around $7 at Union, I think) and they provided a dine-in cup + a big to-go cup...so a sizable amount of coffee, which was nice. That's really the extent of my experience, I would recommend.

The interior of this coffee shop is very simple, minimalist and a good space for people to meet. The outdoor space is really great! The outside walk up window to purchase coffee is great if you have a dog! There is a large patio and fenced in yard with lots of picnic tables. The staff was friendly and helped me choose a good seasonal coffee.

Coffee is amazing, especially the lattes. Outdoor space is lovely on a nice day. Can get crowded with college students some days, especially on the weekend.

I really like this coffee shop and its atmosphere. The people here are kind and easy going plus this shop has a lot of community activities for everyone to get involved.I rented the upstairs space for a workshop, perfect for meetings but can be a little drowned out by neighboring rooms and parking can be a little tricky. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you park 2 blocks away. But overall an awesome location with a great vibe.Parking: Find it where you can in the morning. It can get packed.

Unique location in a very urban area but plenty of parking and open outdoor picnic table seating in about a quarter acre lot ,which is rare near downtown Dallas. The property and coffee house is owned by the Methodist church next door. The shop is a converted century old brick duplex apartment building. Coffee drinks are tasty and affordable. It's a pleasant alternative to the nearby bars.Parking: Church parking lot.

Took my 78 year old mom here instead of Starbux as I wanted her to try something different. Service was great, staff was friendly and the coffee was delish. The lobby down stairs was filled up to the brim so we went up stairs and grabbed a empty spot. A group of men looked over at us and said "Are you with the book club?" ... (This is Saturday around 1pm) ...We said no we are just trying to find a place to sit for my mom because its freezing outside and the downstairs is full. Then proceeded to say "well we rented the area out so sorry." Was not a great experience and its left me bitter enough not recommend this place or go back. We wound up sitting in the car to talk over coffee.

I really wanted to like this place but it's so dirty & gross and the food is trash. It's like they've never vacuumed ever. And there are gigantic cockroaches in the bathroom & God knows where. Can't even sit without being completely covered in dog hair. I love dogs but maybe vacuum once in a while? Coffee is moderately good... Didn't blow wind up my skirt .

THE BEST place to be in Dallas! Welcoming and friendly, beautiful space, incredible staff, reservable conference rooms, and delicious drinks and treats. Do yourself a favor, and get the matcha mint latte. It’ll change your life.Editing 3 years later to update that Union is still the best coffee shop in Dallas!!!! They only continue to get better. I love how much they support the community and neighborhood. ❤️
