If zero star was possible I would give it the hostess is rude and on the website they didn’t state I couldn’t walk in or come in after my scheduled reservation I didn’t ask for a time or gave a time slot I came in and they denied my reservation which makes no sense they were slow and still denied my reservation even when I wanted to pay full price. If the website had more details I wouldn’t have came super far away. And there’s no food

Originally I was extremely happy to come here with a friend of mine and experience making crafts with bottomless mimosas. I already knew it would be $52/person, no sweat. The manager Joyce or Joy (can’t remember her name so do apologize) took my card from me and ran it and handed it back. Imagine my surprise when I got a bill for more than the budgeted amount and tax.

When I called in and asked for an itemized receipt, I was first asked “Did you remember to check out?” We had to check *in.* There was no reason to go back to the counter to pay again because payment was taken when we got there. We did not order any extra drinks so no tab was opened. She then went through and started tallying things and I was aware of the crafts being one price and the mimosas being an add-on. She then goes, “oh, and you left a tip for $22.”

I did not. This means the manager took my card and helped herself to money that isn’t hers. Which is quite frankly stealing. She gave me and my friend 2 free drink cards at the end as we passed her counter and did compliment her on her hair, earrings and overall style. So it’s crazy that this is how I got repaid for my patronage.

The girl didn’t even deny that it was stealing and immediately “tried to process a refund.” Then told me she’d have to try and call the manager first because that’s the only way to process said refund. She did call me back about 20 minutes later to say she couldn’t reach the manager but was my phone number a good one, I said yes and to please have her call me today, Monday the 21st. This employee agreed to have the manager ring at noon. It is 2:26 pm and nothing, and when I called back they were closed. So this employee knew full well that they would not be open today, and still said the manager would be contacting me today.

I’m overall so disappointed in how this turned out and don’t recommend it. Maybe when there’s more honest people I’ll consider returning but between them taking money without permission, having us at a table where we were trying to do painting/line work while other people were literally hammering next to us instead of splitting us up by project, and repeatedly getting left hanging on mimosa refills and art supplies, I’m fine to not come back.

I’m not remotely crafty, but I’ve been wanted to try Upstairs Circus for awhile. My sister was in from out of town, so we made reservations for Sangria Sunday. To start off, the two employees running the event were phenomenal. They were kind and continually available for questions and so patient. They checked in periodically too, just to make sure we were ok. As someone super awkward with artsy stuff, I was SO grateful. There was a large variety of projects to choose from and I went bold (for me). I’m pretty proud of myself for actually finishing the string art (with the aforementioned help). We had a lot of fun and I’ll definitely go back. The sangria was SO good. Definitely check this place out and extra kudos to the staff for the event on 10/6.

Came into town just looking around the area at differences businesses, greeted with a “do you have a reservation?” Well hello to you too. Not sure who the lady was. Then kept stating they were closed and my husband was just stating we were looking around. Redirected us to a calendar stating why they were closed. Okay…. Well if we were going to go in the future, we won’t be going now.

BEWARE - I went here over a year ago, yet I just got a notification from Capital One that this vendor tried to charge $25 to my credit card today. It was only declined because the card is now expired. They've been reported for fraud.

I love this place. The staff is extremely helpful and patient. All the details of the place are so intentional and the craft you make is something you will actually want to keep!

We went for bottomless mimosas on Saturday and had a great time!
Dee was incredible and so helpful!
We both did the nail/string art project and had so much fun. Studio is super cute, well organized, and clean.
Parking - there are multiple pay lots in the area that are within a two minute walk of the studio.
A lot of great restaurants that are walking distance to the studio. You can also have food delivered to the studio while you create.

We booked a Sunday sangria party for 7 friends. When we came in we paid for our two entrance fees separately and was given instructions on what on how to choose our craft. My husband and I don't drink so we gave the sangria to the birthday girl. Well we had no idea that they open a tab automatically and it was left open with our card and I was very surprised when I saw a 31% tip added to our $86 entry fee. I checked the website and it states that any tab left open will be charged an 18% gratuity but someone rang up 31%. I tried calling and leaving a messages and also emailed through the website but no one will contact me back about it. This also happened to the remaining party of 5 and she even had 2 children in her party. She was able to get in touch with someone but they refused to do anything to remedy the situation. All in all the place is an interesting concept. Most of the crafts are less than $5 in goods but no one came around to assist us with anything and we had to ask a couple of times for the included sangria for the few in our party who drank. But the gratuity being handled this way was very unprofessional and they make it impossible to get in touch with anyone. So I'm giving it a low score because one or some employees are taking advantage of customers by not explaining how the place works. I thought I was just paying an entry fee not giving a $27 tip for someone who had no drinks. That's no way to do business!

We had a phenomenal time at upstairs circus.
It was a whimsical environment. The charismatic hosts made us feel very comfortable and helped us along the way. Creativity was flowing through the place. You don't have to be especially crafty to be able to do a project though.
My date made a leather cuff bracelet and I made nail-string art (my new passion). It was just challenging enough for us. We were there for around 2.5 hours or so. The tasty drinks were flowing. It was a blast. The unique atmosphere is intimate. Like you're in someone's magical workshop that also happens to be a bar. You could come drop in for just a cocktail. I would love to come back with a group.

The service was poor. It was happy hour but they did not want to serve us beer. They seemed really put out by us being there which is odd because we were the only ones in the place.

Came for Making-N-Mimosa's this weekend on a quick visit to Dallas. The crafts were so much fun, very doable, but challenging. Triva and Marble, the hosts/experts, were incredible! So friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! And the bottomless mimosas were truly bottomless! I'd highly recommend anyone come for a cute date idea, craft day, or outing with friends!
