Not really a review but Yelp wouldn't let me post it as a question: Just curious if this is place closed? I was in town for work and decided to check it out during prime dinner rush around 6:30 pm. Ordered takeout through Yelp/GrubHub and showed up 20 minutes later to pick it up and the place was completely dark. Contacted GrubHub customer service for additional information but they weren't able to confirm so my order was cancelled and refunded (2/26/20)

Got there at 5:10 and they're supposed to close at 8. The door was locked and the guy told my sister and I that they were closed. This is the second time we were turned away from this place. As a first time customer, this seems very unprofessional.

Good isn't even the word! They are amazing! The Kimchi fried rice, spicy pork, etc everything is good. Your food is freshly prepared while you wait.

I'll be clear: The food deserves 5 stars. This place would be so popular and far more enjoyable if it were in a better location. It's a hole-in-the-wall by a Metro PCS store whose customers wandered in to take the free water from this restaurant. No other customers came in the whole time we were there, and the counter staff was sitting in the dining area playing on his phone wearing pajamas when we walked in the door. We ordered six (two orders) of tempura shrimp and the bulgogi beef special. It was all delicious, tasted fresh, hot but not scalding... and the guy working in the kitchen was much friendlier than the guy who took our order. I wouldn't go as far out of my way to come back, and if I did, I'd get it to-go (though the Hawaiian decor is cute).

New to the area and I was looking for a restaurant today that all three of my moving help could agree to for lunch. They all said Waikiki sounded good, so I placed a to go order over the phone. When I returned with the food it was a quiet fest until we were all finished eating. Everything was AMAZING and the men preparing the food are AMAZING, kind and care about all the little details right down to the last drizzle of sauce. I’m glad it’s right around the corner!

Food is amazing. Large portions for what you pay for. Clean and aesthetically pleasing. It’s a small spot but don’t let that deceive you. The customer service is top notch. It’s our new favorite spot.

This is a little hole in the wall place. Clean. Very nice owner. I had the spicy pork bulgogi and my daughter had the chicken teriyaki. For $23, it was just okay. The macaroni salad was a no-go for me.
