It lacks vibe, it seems like it goes out of fashion. The menu of drinks is very limited, as is Snaks. I guess it is better at sunset or at night, during the day I do not recommend it.

Upon arrival, the hostess was not very welcoming. After checking in for our reservation, she asked if we were aware of the minimum spend requirement. When we mentioned that we weren't, and asked if there were other seating options where we could enjoy cocktails, she rolled her eyes, handed us the menus, and pointed toward the high-top tables, noting they were first come, first served. Unfortunately, the service throughout the visit felt lacking, with little sense of genuine hospitality. While the ambiance was stylish and the cocktails were excellent, the overall experience was dampened by the dismissive attitude and mediocre service. There's definitely room for improvement on the hospitality side

First time exploring Dallas and stumbled across the bar at Waterproof — what a great surprise! The bartender, Omar was super friendly, made amazing drinks, and had great recommendations. Such a fun atmosphere with a beautiful view — definitely coming back next time I’m in town!

Cute spot with nice views and a chill vibe — low-key music, not crowded, and good for relaxing. But the rooftop closed early on Thursday at 10 pm and they kicked us off, which really cut the night short. Overall, not worth the trip. I wouldn’t come back.

This place was just okay, I’ve been in the past and it was way better but this time they had a cover charge and then wouldn’t accept my passport as a form of ID. The people working were nice but u guess it’s the new policy or something. The drinks were more expensive than anticipated and I’m pretty sure they had an automatic tip added on. It was super hot inside and pretty dirty. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting.

I am soooo disappointed and upset at this place!! I’ve been in service and hospitality industry for 9 years & never in my life have I experienced such rude staff at the bar and entry on 9/7/25 . First we get greeted by an amazing door guy to the statler and are amazed at the hotel. Great first impression. Then we go up to waterproof and get mean mugged by a rude girl who tells us it’s $15 each to get in cool no biggy. Still tipped her $5. Moving on to the bar. We stood there for 15 minutes with the bartenders back to us and no other guests she clearly saw us. Before greeting us rudely she first had a side conversation with the door girl then asked us food and drinks. Made us our drinks and told us our tab was $80.80 . No receipt just demanded payment with her hand out so my man gave her the card. We ordered 2 burgers & 2 drinks. Tipped $16. Go back to the table to my friends who then tell me she put gratuity on us. That really irritated me considering we got no receipt but they did & we still tipped 20% on top of the automatic 20 for a rude bartender that clearly was annoyed with us. Then we get our food both burgers were cold and the fries too. I just got it to go and ended up throwing it away. I know people have bad days but this is just unacceptable. For the price I left hungry and like I was on eggshells being there the whole time. We moved to the pool area and the waitress I flagged down with curly hair was nice and attentive and smiled. I didn’t complain because I didn’t want to be a Karen and ruin my friends 21st bday but I just feel like for the price and atmosphere, the workers should reflect on that with even halfway decent service. Views were nice. Staff was not. Horrible.

Pool parties here are awkward; great venue but I never stay long because there’s very limited open seating; 3 tables, 6 chairs; always full. Pretty much all the seating is by reservation; $200 to start. So unless you have one, don’t bring too many items. I don’t think this will be on my rotation next summer.
