Love this spot the wife and I enjoy it every time the staff always goes above and beyond perfect for date night..
WooMeeOk has great service! The table is already set with the side dishes (banchan) once you are seated, so if you are ready to order, you may do so. The waitresses were very fast, and visit the table just enough times. For two people, we ordered about 10 meat dishes and no additional sides (e.g., soup and pancake). The portion of the meat is greater than expected, and there are no excessive fat cuts in the galbi. As for price, we believe it to be more than fair. The atmosphere is also very relaxed and they play great music haha.
Side note from partner: The bathroom lighting is very dim.

I went with three of my friends and we were all treated so poorly by our server. Since we first walked in she was already giving us attitude and rolling her eyes at us when we were being nothing but kind. We asked for a grill change and she came back with the grill but didn’t change it for us so the grill was just sitting there and we had to ask another waiter to change it for us. We asked to refill our side dishes but she only came with 2. Overall it wasn’t a pleasant experience with our server. If we go again we will for sure ask to switch server because we do not want to deal with her ever again.

One of the best AYCE Korean bbq meals we have ever experienced. Service was on point. Meat was great quality and abundant. The banchan were fresh and tasty. The kimchi stew and steamed egg were delicious. And the kimchi pancake has the best texture and almost stole the show. Just kidding. The meat stole the show, of course. Fantastic value for the quantity eaten. Two thumbs up! Pro tip: make a reservation so you are not waiting to experience this. Shout out to our server who let us order dessert!

On 10/14 around 8pm, we parked in front of Woomeok to grab a drink from Gongcha next door. My partner was going to go inside while me and my dog wait outside. As we walked by their outdoor patio and reached the end, two large dogs came running at us out of nowhere behind the fence and the samoyed started barking aggressively showing teeth at my dog. By instinct I pulled my dog back and looked at the fence door which wasnt properly locked but only tied closed using 2 leash ropes top and bottom of the door. It was loosely shut and so whenever the dogs lunged with their full force it kept being pushed open and back which caused some major anxiety for me given that those dogs werent leashed, just freely roaming in the large open patio. I asked my partner to walk us back to our car in case something were to happen so that we can quickly retreat into our vehicle. The two dogs trailed us from the side and all I can say is that thank god those aluminum chairs were slightly away from the 4-4ft tall fence because otherwise, it was such a breezy escape route for them onto the actual pedestrian road, and towards me and my dog whom the white large dog did NOT like. I looked around immediately side to side hoping I’d find the dogs owners nearby but no one was around. I did see this employee inside Woomeok standing by the host table glancing at us several times but took no other actions so I naturally thought he was just looking. The white samoyed could not take its eyes off of my dog and kept glaring which was not a good sign for neither of the dogs and I didnt want to intensify the situation so I just put my dog back into the car while I waited outside monitoring the two dogs and waiting for my partner to come out of Gongcha. Luckily the two large dogs did not show aggression towards people but one lady trying to pass by must have heard the barking earlier and paused to ask me if those dogs were mine and if there were any loose dogs around. She looked scared. I reassured her my dog was back in the vehicle and that I wasnt sure who those dogs belonged to that were pretty much left outside alone untethered. When my partner came out of the tea shop, we noticed a different man from Woomeok that came out and petting the dogs.
I walked up and asked if the dogs belonged to him and he said no, but that they belong to his friend inside. I asked if his friend was a customer, and he said no (as that friend came outside to join us), and that his friend is a worker and HE (the guy i’’m talking to) is the manager. Slightly surprised but optimistically, I explained the situation that occurred, in the politest tone possible that despite the dogs seeming very friendly to people, at least one of them was showing extreme aggression towards to passerby dog just few minutes ago and the fact that the large dogs werent leashed in an open space AND no one directly watching them made me very nervous. His response? “Oh really? (pause)… Thank you”
At the moment, I couldnt really mutter anything else but to smile, nod, and walk away. Woomeok’s manager’s facial expression was as if I made him very uncomfortable and that I needed to go away. I got back in my car and noticed that the two Woomeok men just walked back inside as business as usual and the dogs stayed in the patio the same.
I normally dont go out of my way to waste my time to leave reviews like this (esp since it has nothing to do with their dining experience) but I believe that there are common sense and courtesy for when things like this happens, regardless of whether I dined in their store or not. I have a dog, and I love animals but it really IRKS me when PEOPLE behave this way. Not only did this manager allowed his staff (sry, his Friend) to bring in their dogs during their shift but allowed him to leave them unattended in the outdoor patio. Absolute zero professionalism and poor way to handle this escalation. We’ve dined at Woomeok before but will not be supporting thi
The food was good. The short ribs were marinated really good and had a great flavor. The waitress was good as well and very prompt on bring out the meat for the BBQ. The lemon pepper shrimp were great.
