This was definitely my favourite dining experience in DFW thus far. The curation of the menu with seasonal produce is exquisite and refreshing. We started with the focaccia, which honestly, might be the best bread I’ve ever had. Perfect amount of flavour and crispiness. Then, we went onto the persimmon salad which very nice and refreshing. The mushroom starter was flavourful, however, we wished the greens didn’t overtake the plate.

We ordered the duck confit and scallops for our main. The duck was very tender surrounded by vegetables emerged in flavour. The scallops and risotto had a soft texture, with the squash being a great addition.

To finish off, the guava cheesecake was delicious. The cheese portion was filled with flavour, however, the filo was a little stale.

The service is definitely worth mentioning as it was some of the best I’ve ever had. Great attention to detail and enthusiastic waiter. The atmosphere is quite uplifting as well.

Overall a great place to check out and definitely worth the Michelin recommendation!

2024 Edit: The proteins were not the best. We had pork belly, fish, and beef. I didn't finish my cocktail.
Very friendly and personable experience. The food (seasonal) was excellent and high quality. The drinks were fantastic.

Cash is an outstanding waitress and made our 3 year engagement anniversary very memorable! The food is delicious! From the cod to the kimchi pancakes the flavors tea stand out. The jazz playing in the background sets the mood as well. Definitely recommend!

Been here a couple times! First time we ordered cold noodles and it wasn’t for me. The server did mention it’s an acquired taste. I haven’t gotten used to it and don’t want to. But the dessert was the highlight both times! LOVED the pistachio pavlova!!

What a wonderful experience we had during a difficult time. Our first visit to Written by the Seasons came just two days after we said goodbye to a dear friend - our African Grey parrot and devoted companion of 32 years. We mentioned this to our delightful server, Cash, and told her we were there to lift our spirits and to celebrate our avian pal. Cash was immediately and sincerely empathetic and said, "Could I offer you a little champagne to toast his life?" A small but memorable gesture, and a kindness in today's sometimes cold business climate. We were charmed and grateful, and Cash's attentiveness was the cherry on top of an amazing meal. The food was fresh and delicious, the restaurant cozy and comfortable, and the service top-notch. Needless to say, we'll be back and we highly recommend this lovely neighborhood restaurant, (which, by the way, is Michelin recommended!)

I had one of the best dinner experiences I’ve had in Dallas at written by the seasons yesterday.

Our waitress sierra was incredibly sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive! Some of the best service I’ve had in a long time!

Definitely worth checking out if you’re wanting delicious fresh flavors! We loved the seasonal Carrot Muhamarra.
