We are from out of town and we’re questioning where to get dinner. We came across Y.O. and decided to give it a try. Made reservations online. The food left us absolutely stuffed but still wanting to keep eating haha. The service was also top notch, the restaurant itself was so very clean. We will definitely be back when we are in Dallas!
The main dining area is nicely decorated, we sat in a booth, restaurant never was more than half full. Long story short, we started with Nashville Hot fried Oysters, very tasty. I ordered Buffalo steak, and added a baked potato on the side. The buffalo was delicious. My wife opted for the Steak Frites, she said the meat was a little tough. we ordered a side of asparagus, it came large, woody, and undercooked, never again. No dessert.
Parking: Not very busy for a Saturday evening, was able to park adjacent to the building, paid $5.

My husband wanted to take me to this cool steakhouse and the atmosphere was the best part of the evening.
My food order was wrong because I ordered a salad with another kind of dressing than the ranch dressing they usually served, of course they screwed up my order. I begged that they go ahead and reuse the same steak but I was ignored. They took their sweet time remaking another steak as it came piping hot as my husband was two bites from done and I had to eat the MEAL BY MYSELF. He sat and watched me eat a few bites, then I smiled and asked for a box to go.
So, um, pass on this place if offered another choice. If you have to go there, just keep in mind you’d better order exactly as they have it on the menu or you’ll be eating alone like me. It totally ruined my meal and my experience because people there are on auto and even if you ask them something as simple as please use the same steak, you’ll be ignored and eating your Uber-expensive meal alone.
Pass on this place. I hope my husband doesn’t drag me there again.
What these people don’t understand is that was supposed to be a special meal for us because we’re hardly ever able to have a child-free dinner. It sucked. Just like the rest of my life, apparently.

Great food, excellent service, relaxing atmosphere. We had the 8oz filet with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese as a side, with bread pudding for dessert. The steaks came with roasted carrots and green beans, which were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The steaks were melt in your mouth tender and juicy. We parked in the paid lot next to the restaurant and had no issues. Will definitely be back.
Parking: Several spots available in the lot next to the restaurant. We paid $12 via a scanned code that was really easy to use. No issues.

Made reservations and glad I did as it did fill up quick. There was enough staff working, so I never noticed it was busy until I looked around and noticed all seats were taken. Food was excellent! Our waiter was fun and made us feel welcome. My wife could not have gluten and they had options other than a salad.
Dietary restrictions: Could not have gluten. They had good options that was not just a salad.

Had a post-wedding dinner here in the Windmill Room, and everything from the service, to the food, to the atmosphere was stellar! I would highly recommend to everyone! Steaks were cooked perfectly, and the greens were a surprise favorite of mine! Wife loved the Corn Bisque and her Blue Steak!

Alan was my server and made my experience wonderful. Suggested the bison filet and explained to me I that it was wild and corn fed which I loved. He was very knowledgeable about the food and beverages, and since my experience I have suggested this place to my entire company because of him. He asked about all of our dietary needs and answered all of our questions about the menu.

YO Ranch is a true Texas steakhouse and what do steakhouses do best? Sides! These sides are phenomenal I usually order three and make that my meal. Their portions are large and so are their epic pours of vino! When it's busy, sit at the bar and they will treat you like family. The date-night like ambiance though could serve as a more fun celebratory evening!

Mouth watering entrees and impressive appetizers! The service was impeccable!!! Our first time there but certainly not our last. Stumbled upon this upscale gem near our hotel. Highly recommend this wonderful place for its food, drinks, service and atmosphere!🩷
I was deeply disappointed with the service at this establishment.
Upon entering, the lack of acknowledgment from the staff was immediately noticeable.
The food itself was mediocre at best. My steak was overcooked despite requesting medium-rare. Tables were left uncleared and a noticeable absence of management presence. It's clear that this restaurant is understaffed and poorly organized.
To improve, I would suggest:
Better staff training on customer service and menu knowledge
Implementing a more efficient system for taking and delivering orders
Ensuring food quality meets standards before serving
Increasing staff numbers during peak hours
Having management actively oversee operations
Firing the welcome staff or reallocate them to janitorial services
While I understand that restaurants can have off days, the level of service we experienced was unacceptable. I hope the management takes these suggestions seriously to improve the dining experience for future customers. As it stands, I cannot recommend this restaurant and will not be returning unless significant changes are made.
Thank you, and God bless America ??
Edit: a co worker of mine recently visited Y and O; unfortunately his experience was worse than mine- seems the greeters need to bathe as well.

Service and atmosphere were average. Food was a tremendous disappointment. My NY Strip Steak was so tough, the steak knife could hardly cut it. My baked potato was dry and shriveled as if it left over from lunch. I could have had a better meal at home if I had spent $20 at Walmart. Won't be back.

Marcos Ruiz is TOP NOTCH! The best. 100%! Truly some of the best service we’ve ever had. Marcos made us feel like family. A stellar experience all the way around. The food was phenomenal. We live in Nevada… can you open a restaurant near to us??? Our family has places we go in cities we love and YO is now our spot in Dallas. So long as Marcos is always here, of course!
PS thanks for ending my vacation with a bang and some amazing dessert. Declan was amazing too.
