Big disappointment; Good service; Below average food; I had the fried chicken. The menu does not reflect that it comes with a side of mashed potatoes and greens. The chicken was hot and fresh and that is to be expected for $36.00. Greens and the mashed were ok. I did not think the chicken was anything special. I prefer Tumble 22 or Popeyes. The blackened green beans intrigued me, so I ordered them. They were bad. My wife got the Cobb salad with fried chicken tenders. The tenders were tough and very hard to cut. The worst Cobb salad she had ever had. I tried it and totally agreed. The place was pretty noisy. Bottom line: the place is over-priced and over-hyped. Will not return
Went here for a birthday dinner and the food was good, atmosphere and service was excellent. Food came fast and was hot. It's a little pricey but not too much. Only problem I had was you only got free refills on tea, no lemonade or sodas which is usually a standard free perk from 5 star restaurants
Great experience at Yardbird in Dallas! The food was delicious, the ambiance was inviting, and our waiter was very attentive throughout the evening. It was a perfect spot for a work dinner with a colleague. Everything from the service to the atmosphere made for a really enjoyable night. Would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back.

Lashonda made our first experience here amazing. The food was great but her service was the star of the visit. We will be asking to be seated in her section anytime we come here going forward. She’s the best!!!

I made a reservation for 20 people and the service was impeccable from the moment we walked in the door! Of course we needed majority of our party there to be seated which was fine. About 30-45 minutes in, enough people had showed up for us to be seated. Our waiter handled the party smoothly with grace and VERY PROMPT! The food came out quick and was hot and delicious!

Today is Saturday, December 20, 2025, and I visited Yardbird with my best friend to celebrate my birthday. Our server was J—I can’t quite remember his full name—but he was incredibly kind, attentive, and informative. I arrived a little early and sat at the bar, where I ordered an amazing sangria. Since I hadn’t eaten yet, I decided to grab a small appetizer before my friend arrived and went with the honey butter toast. It was absolutely to die for.
The bartenders were also wonderful—friendly and welcoming. I usually feel a bit shy walking into a restaurant alone, but this experience was genuinely pleasant.
When my friend arrived, we were seated at our table a little earlier than expected. She ordered the chicken sliders with Brussels sprouts and fries. The Brussels sprouts were fantastic—perfectly charred with a hint of balsamic and some delicious seasoning I couldn’t quite identify, but they tasted great. I ordered the All-American breakfast with bacon, a hard-fried egg, and a lemon-zest pancake that was absolutely incredible.
At the end of brunch, our server surprised me with donut holes, “Happy Birthday” written on the plate, and a candle. It was such a sweet gesture, and I really appreciated how special he made me feel. I definitely plan on returning to try lunch and dinner—I noticed collard greens and fried okra on the menu that I’d love to try.
I also ordered two dishes to go for my kids: chicken and waffles, and chicken strips with fries. Altogether, my total was about $95. If you’re dining alone, you can probably enjoy a really nice meal for around $60–70.
I went during brunch, so the vibe was casual, but in the evening it definitely feels like the kind of place you’d want to dress up a bit—nice jeans, heels, cute shoes, and a stylish jacket. I also noticed a private room off to the side that can be closed off, which is perfect if you want to host a private gathering. Overall, I loved it and will absolutely be back!
