Nov.25 my husband n I went for the first time since we moved on this side but never again!!!! Food had no flavor at all!! But what really got me is when I seen the lady cook put the food to her nose n smelled it like it didn't smell too good?♀️ yeah never again!!! ?

They prepare good food and a very friendly atmosphere. I'm a regular customer. Access to their parking lot is tricky, esp. driving north on East Blvd.

I wanted some catfish for dinner after work so I remembered this place from when I used to come all the time to get the catfish jumbo combo basket. First off, when I called my order in they said that I had to pay before they would start making it(never had to do that before) , I could somewhat understand if I had a very big order. Secondly, I get home and I’m ready to eat some catfish and I opened the box and there are 3 little pieces of fish(which by sight wasn’t catfish) and 6 little shrimp. I bit into the fish and immediately called the manager who tells me that they don’t sell catfish on the combo basket it’s “whitefish “ which I would have never paid $19 and change for. I told her that I’ve ordered this numerous times and I got catfish. She said sorry , there’s nothing I can do. Well sorry, I will never spend my money there again.

Always a pleasure! The staff is friendly, caring and always a joy to be waited on by! The chef is friendly and top notch, you can taste the love in the food! This location is the best in my opinion!!

So glad we came across this place. Avoiding the 2hr wait at The Monument Inn, lead us here. My husband was fighting to finish his plate. Lol! He didn't want to stop eating. He did end up having to take a to go box but he finished that off as soon as we got home and was asking if we could go back the next day. We had other plans (for Mother's day so we didn't make it). Awesome food and service.

Service is great and food is good. Unfortunately, shrimps and catfish portions have shrunk tremendously. Once, upon a time, shrimps were huge. Miss the good ole days...

First time and I picked up a 2 go order. Ordered the Calamari for $10 plus. This is not even worth the $$. There’s barely anything there.

Had a quick bite to eat , I will say the shrimp poboy was good and filled with shrimp. And the waitress was awesome and quick. I'd recommend it if your In the area .

This is the original captain Benny's, I've been going here for 22 years and it's known to everyone as "El Barquito". The gumbo and shrip Diablos are the first 2 things I order,ohh wait don't forget the michelada. I always sit at the bar that is where u will get the very best service. Ask for Arturo and Alfredo. U won't regret it and as for my main dish I always go for the broiled stuffed catfish and when u ask for fried asked them to fry it in the cracker mix "Galleta".
