The food is always so good and fresh. I love the sweet potato fries and the regular fries that come sprinkled with Tajin. 😋
Oh, and I love the fried sliced potatoes on the skewer as well. It's always so good.
My only problem is that it's a bit pricey, but still really good for a one in done for each month.

Mexican corn and fried pickles were amazing. Might be the best Mexican corn I've ever had. Fried pickles were crunchy and they used corn flakes which gave it a whole different taste than the usual. Carne asada salad was full of meat and tender.
Ordered the carne asada fries, mozzarella sticks, and green chili burger. I went on a Friday night and waited for over 45 minutes for my food to arrive despite it not being that busy. When it came out the food was not good. I would say it's comparable to bowling alley food. Restaurant wasn't dirty but wasn't clean either.

Horrible customer service. The food took over an hour to come out even though there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Our order came out incorrect and the waitress refused to correct it for us. Although, their young male waiter was very nice and apologized even though it was not his fault.

I am quite disheartened to share this review, as my past experiences have been consistently positive. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was far from satisfactory, and despite efforts to rectify the situation, it did not meet my expectations.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, we found ourselves the only patrons present, with no other customers arriving. We proceeded to place our orders, and the wait time for our food was exceptionally long. Despite any explanations provided, we felt left waiting, and the temperature of the food was quite telling. Why would cold fries be served, and to add to the issue, instead of replacing them, they were reheated? How could that be considered acceptable? No one requested shoestring fries. The burgers were not hot and fresh, as the cheese was in various states of melting, indicating they had been sitting for a while. Given the extensive wait, the entire order should have been remade.
The complimentary beer was well-received by the individual who ordered it, while the complimentary apple cinnamon rings remained untouched. Furthermore, the reheated fries were not consumed.
I am deeply disappointed that my guests had this experience after they took the time to read reviews and trusted my assurance that everything would be satisfactory.
I will need to seriously consider whether to recommend this 830 kitchen to future guests.
Driving home to Houston through Del Rio, I wanted something relatively quick but not the usual chain. Had the Amistad burger, different and delicious. Atmosphere was homey and comfortable, nestled in an unassuming yet inviting neighborhood. Well done. Done well!
