A hidden gem in Del Rio. One of the last remaining lunch counters you'll find. Mexican breakfast and lunch classics. Outstanding salsa. A window into the Del Rio of the 1960's. Cash only.
Benny's Cafe- DEL Rio TX is a cozy, old-style restaurant with its large, long bar with its swivel chairs, its kitchen visible to everyone, its breakfast is fresh, made in your face, the attention we received was Enthusiastic and efficient, the Huevos Rancheros with their chicharrones and gisado are very delicious, the atmosphere is familiar, there is a good atmosphere, we will return!
We ate breakfast at this charming little diner. The best part was seeing owners daughter come in, gave her mom a huge hug good morning- went straight to work. I LOVE family owned companies, you can truly see the dedication they put into their place. The food is made in front of you and it is delicious! My husband and I enjoyed Bennys so much!
