Food was super good! Had a very authentic feel. Pretty limited menu but it was excellent. The gentleman suggested getting a half pound of meat and half pound of corn tortillas (home made) and it was definitely the right call. Super great!

I found a tooth in my MENUDO (or something of that nature). The food was Very bland for 2 Barbacoa tacos and a 16oz of menudo. The price was DEFINITELY NOT worth this unappetizing experience ($19). NEVER coming here again.

I'm from Del Rio and have fond memories of a good barbacoa. I'd been to a couple of places but they weren't the same. Finally, someone told me about El Toro so I checked it out. AMAZING barbacoa hands down compared to any place I'd been to during my visit.
I don't usually eat menudo out, but it came with my order so I tried it. The menudo was out of this world.
I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants some great barbacoa and menudo.

If you’re looking for some authentic Mexican food this is your place. They sell tamales, menudo and barbacoa. Everything is made from scratch in the restaurant including the corn tortillas which are delicious (really everything is delicious, the barbacoa is my favorite!). They are only open on the weekends and will close when they sell out. They ship too! Great gift idea for your Texan friends and family who have moved away from Texas and need a taste of home. Stop by, you will not regret it!
