This place is a gem! Derek, the bar manager took excellent care during our visit. The meatballs are delicious- do not skip these babies! I am usually skeptical about eating fish/seafood so far from where it is caught but the sea bass was flaky, fresh, and the perfect seasoning! Oh dessert you ask?? Even with the espresso crème brûlée to go it was magical! To cleanse the pallet ask for the fresh squeezed raspberry cucumber lemonade!
I drove from eagle pass for this dinner and I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in the area for business. Keep up the great work!

Our very first time at 822. Not only was the food great but the customer service was excellent. Our server (Derek) was very informative about the menu options. He made the experience even more enjoyable. It is very hard to find a good local restaurant with great food and even better hospitality. We will be returning for future celebrations.
As a local, Ive had plenty of good experiences at Ocho Dos Dos. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a casual dinner or a night out. The menu has a great variety of options from flavorful seafood and burgers to hearty pasta dishes and everything i have tried is delicious. The cocktails are also excellent and clearly well made; Derek and the entire bar staff do an amazing job. Definitely a place I recommend to anyone visiting DR!
Our dinner was great! We didn't have a reservation, so we ate at the bar. We weren't expecting the level of service we had. It was great. I think we'll ask to eat at the bar the next time we're there. Steaks were tasty and tender.

What an amazing addition to the growing number of establishments in Downtown Del Rio! I love the Calamari, Abondigos, Shrimp and Grits and Steak Tips! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

We had the BEST experience thanks hostess/server, Kee Kee! She greeted us with the happiest, most upbeat attitude and kept that same energy the entire meal. She knew the menu inside and out, gave perfect recommendations, and made us feel genuinely taken care of. Her personality is absolutely contagious, and she turned a regular dinner into an amazing experience. Restaurants need more people like her! Highly recommend asking for Kee Kee!

Always delicious.
The servers are extremely nice, and the bartenders always know how to make amazing drinks.
Food isn't too bad, and they have a pretty good selection for anything you are craving.

All fresh juices and house made spirit infusions for cocktails at the bar.
Great happy hour.
The Ocho dos dos burger w/ American waygu and seasoned wedge fries for $1-$2 more than a Whataburger meal.
The chicken fried ribeye, on the lunch menu is 🔥
Can never go wrong with the blackened fish or steak either.

The calimari was ok, bland and could have used lemon or some sort of acid. Don't get the Sea Bass. It was rubbery (like it'd been cooked frozen). The waitress did not let us know it was SO expensive and all I received was a small piece of fish with extremely oily mushrooms with the essence of carrots and peppers. I left hungry. That price should at least include mash potatoes or something. Lastly, the waitress was robotic when speaking to us, it was off putting.

Food was amazing and staff was even better. There was a mix up with our order and we had a bit of wait for the our food. The staff bought us drinks on the house and they were delicious! 10/10 would come back

Honestly Ocho Dos Dos is as good as it gets, we travel often and every time get to the conclusion of how much we love and cherish the fact that we have this gem in our town. If something is not to our satisfaction as (we are quiet picky) they always accommodate. Bar tender is a gem with a quick eye. Having you in our neighborhood make us feel upscaled and special. Thank you Ocho dos dos.
We went for lunch at 12:30 on a Friday and the other two tables had their food. It took an hour and a half to get 5 burgers. That's unacceptable.
heard the head chef brought down from San Antonio wanted nothing to do with the owner and is no longer there.. I can taste it in the food, a huge disappointment. I ordered pork belly tacos and I was served super crunchy pork belly topped with a mid sauce and a dead fly. Server felt super bad and insisted on a bunch of discounts and comps but “couldn’t find a manager” when it came time to pay. Maybe the owner can switch up the style of food. Something more simple. Menu sounds amazing but not at all what you get served on your plate... Last time i came here the food was so amazing i drove all the way from san angelo (3hr drive) just to come have it again. waste of gas, waste of money. Chef Louie you will be missed. Ocho Dos Dos will never be same.
