First of this is not a traditional restaurant, it is more like a take out counter. You have to go around the corner past the salons in Building #1. They have a limited menu, you go up, order it and get it in to-go containers. If you want to eat on premise there is the shared dining area.
We had 3 dishes. The Congee was the best Congee in Austin, hands down due to is including of all sorts of extra spices and flavors. Reminded me to the stuff I would get on the street in Bangkok.
The Fish Sauce Chicken Wings were the biggest surprise. Fried crispy chicken wings with the somewhat sour and tangy fish sauce flavor. If you like that flavor your gonna love these. If you don’t well, order something else. But regardless of flavor I must complement them on how well fried and crispy they were. Think Korean Fried Chicken level perfection, not KFC. Crispy, juicy, lots of flavor in the batter, moist meat. It was good.
Finally we had the pork vermicelli, It was good but not beyond any other Vermicelli noodle bowl. The pork was more of a pork chop cutlet than sliced and stir fried like others. It was good.
So if your looking for something a little different give this place a try.“

“Tried TacoWey late at night and it was exactly what you want after bar-hopping downtown—fast, hot, and packed with flavor. The tacos were juicy, the tortillas held up, and the toppings didn’t feel skimpy. We grabbed a couple different meats and they all tasted fresh, not like they’d been sitting around. It’s more of a quick stop than a “sit and chill” place, but for a cheap late-night bite, it hits the spot.“

“You must eat at this place! The people are friendly and the flavors are awesome. Pro tip: dip in the red sauce then the green. It’s so good and I really felt taken care of. I love this place!
I put 5 for atmosphere, even though it’s a food cart. I added that because the people are great and they’re great chefs too. I’m really satisfied with what I ate and I feel full and happy!
It’s also in the same parking lot as a store (Hula Hut) that has a great selection of beers and wines.
Also, the prices are really decent, particularly for the size of the tacos and other items!“

“I used to come here often but I’ve had to stop my almost weekly visits because the prices have just about doubled:( I get prices go up but to go from $5 to $9 Gorditas and charge a $1 fee for using your cc ! That’s ridiculous!!!! The food is great but I just can’t afford to come as often as I used to.“

“If you’re looking for something quick, worth the price, and delicious, this is the place to start your day before getting into any of the many activities in the city. I didn’t know what to expect coming here and I wasn’t sure if I’d get a lot of food as you typically don’t at some spots but they did not disappoint and the food tasted wonderful, was very fresh, hot and had just the right amount to provide the fullness and energy I wanted.
Thank you and I will be coming back next time I’m in Austin.

“I have to say—I’m genuinely impressed. Austin friends, if you're ever craving Mexican food with real Mexican flavor, do yourself a favor and visit Pueblo Viejo on Riverside. As 🐷someone🐷 who knows good food—especially the kind that tastes like home—this place checks all the boxes. Great vibe, bold flavors, solid variety. Definitely worth the stop.“

“We catered Taco’Queta for a company lunch and it was awesome! Ramon and his wife cooked up a storm for our employees and everyone left full and happy! They came 90min early to get set up which always gets a big A+ from me. Food was delicious too and priced reasonably. Would definitely hire again!“
