El Tapatio Cafe & Cantina

Our local Mexican restaurant has lowered its quantity I was so glad to find El Tapatio even with the long drive to get there..

We ordered from door dash not too long ago and my husband really loved it. As a vegetarian, I didn’t see much on their door dash menu for my daughter and me. We still decided to try in person and it was amazing! They have the largest vegetarian menu I have seen in Sherman/denison and I really appreciate it! Server was friendly and funny! Our Cali friends who went with us, even added fries to their burritos and said it was wonderful. I can’t wait to try more vegetarian options here. Still so impressed especially after such a struggle to ask for modifications to dishes at other restaurants. 10/10 recommend 😊 can’t believe just trying this after 5years in texoma area. Atmosphere was nice, quiet, plenty space

Went for lunch today. All 3 meals were delicious. Service was quick and food came out timely. Ivan was our server, he was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back!

We both had a really good experience there at the Denison Restaurant after Church. AND the FOOD was DELICIOUS! ❤️

Love this place... food is great...

If you don’t want to seat people at 9:30 pm when you are open until 10:00pm then tell people you are not seating any new parties. We walked in at 9:30 and the man at the desk asked if we had a to go order. I said no and he looked at his watch and sat us. I would understand him being put out if the food was made to order or high end but this is Mexican food. All the same ingredients just rearranged into different meals. Our server was very rude. She was so rude that we didn’t leave a tip (not something I ordinarily do). The man that we paid grabbed the ticket out of my hand because there was no tip. There was no reason to be rude to us. There was still another couple and a large table in the restaurant. The food was subpar at best. I certainly will not waste my money on that restaurant. I’ll eat at Rustico in Denison. They are fantastic!

I wish I could remember her name but we had the absolute best and most amazing waitress! She was on top of her entire section and never let us run out of anything. Great service, food was amazing!

Jerry world is an incredible venue. I mean sorry AT&T stadium laugh out loud. I went there for the Kid Rock rodeo and it was a great show. Plenty of room sound was good. The Jumbotron was fabulous. It’s hard to have a bad seat when you get a TV like that look at our monitor look at like that parking was cool Like 50 bucks or higher than where you were.

Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant. Itself was very clean. We enjoyed our time there and the food was okay, but truthfully, it's kind of generic but safe. It was not bad by any means, but if you're looking for More authentic mexican food.This is not the place. However, I would still recommend it if you are looking for somewhere to get together and sit and visit and just enjoy a meal.

Pollo al chipotle, it was so good! The flavors did not disappoint. I don't like very spicy food, and this was just right, a tiny bit spicy, with lots of flavor. The waiter was great, very attentive the entire time. This is one of our favorite places near home.
