“We love coming here. Chef Felipe is a wonderful chef and human. Ricardo took great care of us. The table side guacamole, salsa, and the roasted salsa (have to a sk for it a pay a little extra) but it is our favorite! The street tacos and steak chimichanga was the our dinner. “We have been coming here for, I guess, over a year now. I love this cozy little bar in an unassuming pocket of Downtown Denison. Upon walking up the building, you would not expect to see a prohibition style speak easy filled with cowboy inspired wall decorations and a bar filled with the some of the finest spirits in existence. Cody and Torrey, the owners, are passionate about their love for fine spirits and uniquely crafted cocktails. Recently, as a nod to dry January and the rise of non drinkers, they have acquired a line of Lyre non alcoholic spirits that make a fine mocktail. Come in after a long work week or a nice Saturday walking around the square and you will not be disappointed.”

“Ate there this afternoon on a recommendation from a guy who sold me a car. Everything he said about it is true. I ordered a shredded beef crunchy taco, and chili rellano with rice and beans, with a side of guacamole. Plus ate my fair share of chips and salsa. And had sweet tea. Everything was delicious. The salsa, red sauce and guacamole were unique in flavor and freshness. I wish it weren't so far from home. Favorites were guacamole and salsa for a tie. Competitive prices. Plus excellent service, and they have free mints and toothpicks. Definitely recommend and can hardly wait to go again!!”

I honestly laugh at the negative reviews, bc our experience was quite the opposite (yes, there was a wait bc there were many customers ahead of us, but our order came out before she said it would be). We had the chicken and beef fajita tacos and WOW! DELICIOUS! The spicy avocado sauce was phenomenal and everything was tasty and fresh. No rude or snarky attitude as some mentioned. “Great place, owed by the kindness most caring couple, I came in one day and the owner had an aggressive homeless man make a mess because he didn’t free ice with his free water she gave him, instead of calling authorities she cleaned the mess and apologized to me for not attending me fast enough. I ordered youa simple burrito, sauteed ground beef, cheese in a folded tortilla, covered in chili con carne and topped with a dollap of sour creme. The refried beans provided some additional warmth for each bite and the Mexican rice added a subtle taste and texture to the culinary experience. We would come back when next in town. The only negative was our waitress spaced out our request for extras napkins. That's ok, we licked our fingers, the meal was that good.”
