Truly amazing barbecue! The turkey was the standout for me, followed closely by the brisketwurst sandwich, but everything else I tried (pulled pork, sausage, brisket, and ribs) I’d readily get a second time. Be sure to ask for the hot gravy, especially if you get the turkey sandwich, and don’t get a side of beans without also getting the jalapeño cornbread muffins. Definitely worth stopping by for lunch, even if you’re just passing through town.

This place knows how to do to Texas BBQ plain and simple. They provide some staple BBQ options like brisket and pulled pork, while also featuring more unique offerings like turkey and brisket-wurst. The turkey and brisket are standouts. They hold strong without additions like sauce, but also take on a new unique flavor profile from their in house gravy and BBQ sauce. Both the turkey and brisket are juicy and tender. The smoky flavor of the brisket is truly outstanding. The brisket-wurst sandwich is worth it to get even if you intend to get sausage and brisket. It really has it's own flavor profile altogether that is another standout. As a KC BBQ woman myself, I did love the pulled pork and it's addition on the menu. The ribs were also stellar. I don't tend to gravitate towards ribs and these really stood out.Back to the sauces above, the gravy is a unique, regional feature that enhance already tender turkey-and honestly goes great on everything and anything. The in house BBQ sauce can compete with even some of the best sauces where BBQ sauce is more popular. The sides stand strong alongside the featured meat. Some individual favorites of mine include the brisket and beans and the jalapeno cornbread (highly recommend a bite of the cornbread, pulled pork, BBQ sauce, and a homemade jalapeno).Take the time to check this place out. It is evident the team puts a lot of time and effort into perfecting their recipes. There are no wrong decisions here. Find the opportunity to try everything on the menu-it will be worth it.

Been there twice for a quick but wonderful lunch. The guys are friendly and it's easy to pop in white the big rig. The ribs are too notch. It's my new BBQ spot during the work day.

Great breakfast. Fast attentive services. Great price range. I really loved the French toast. It is very busy on weekends.

Came for a baked potato but unfortunately they no longer serve them. So my husband and I decided to try a rib basket, beans and brisket, jalapeño corn bread, potato salad, a chopped brisket sandwich and gravy. We were very pleased and satisfied with the meats smoked flavor and tenderness. The sides were fantastic and the gravy is a must for extra flavor! Thanks Guys! We will be back!

The guys running the place are awesome! They were both interested in my honest opinion, which I liked that they were. I had a brisket and german sausage sandwich m, and it was VERY good. If you go, which I recommend you do, the gravy is a must have! Great people and great groceries!

We enjoyed our lunch here. The service was incredible - the labor shortage doesn't seem to have affected Nick's! Lots of friendly people were on duty at lunch serving the diners. We got the soup - clam chowder for me, beefy mac for my husband - both soups were incredible. We also had cheeseburgers, and that's my only gripe - the meat was a little overdone for my taste. Otherwise a great place for a casual meal.

The food here was very good as was service. All staff were nice polite and friendly. We ate breakfast and all of the different dishes we had we’re good. The only problem is Sunday mornings there’s a wait And pricing is on the high side. Breakfast is about $17 a person average.

Excellent service. We’ve been here several times in the past, and I haven’t really found anything I just love on the menu. On this current visit, I wanted to order the vegetable plate for lunch, but the vegetable selection was limited. I was in the mood for green vegetables like broccoli, but found a variety of potatoes listed instead. In fact, they have “vegetables” listed as a side item, without any hint of what that actually means. I was afraid to get the vegetable plate because it didn’t seem like vegetables are their specialty, so I ordered breakfast instead, which does seem like their strength. It was a mixture of sausage, bacon, eggs and hash browns with gravy on top. Nothing spectacular about it, but it was okay overall, and the gravy was good. I did not enjoy the cinnamon bread, as it was dry. My husband had eggs, bacon, gravy and toast. They use margarine instead of real butter on the toast, which we do not care for. My husband had a hard time chewing the bacon, as it was almost burned. We will return in the future, but will order something different, maybe an omelette, next time.

Love their breakfast! Every time I come through town, I have breakfast at leat once while I'm there. I try other breakfast dishes, but my favorite is the corn-beef hash plate, can't get enough!
