Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

Took my dad there for his first visit. Food was good and tasty however, his salmon was a bit overcooked and a lil dry bit he liked it nonetheless. Service was good and it was sweet to take a couple complimentary croissants home. They make for a sweetl delicious treat. Don't forget to tip your servers. Now, go get your grub on.

Extremely disappointed by some recent experiences at this Cheddar’s. The first bad experience was a barely-cooked steak (I had asked for medium, not rare). Thankfully, they recooked the steak and the manager offered us a comped dessert. Because of the issue being fixed promptly and adequately, I felt comfortable returning to this Cheddar’s. However, the second bad experience was a server who practically ignored us and gave our cheese bites to another table. The croissants were cold. After we complained about the appetizer, she asked the manager to come speak to us, but did not explain the situation at all. My boyfriend asked for the cheese bites to be comped since it only finally arrived at the same time as our food, and the manager essentially gave him a bit of an attitude about it. The steak this time was also not exactly medium but not so rare that I felt the need to complain. I like Cheddar’s and was a regular customer, but these experiences will prevent me from returning to this location, if not others too.

My sister and I went to Cheddar's for lunch, neither one of us has been there in a while. We were seated right away, our server Emily was kinda nice at first but everytime we needed something we had to flag Emily down. Emily acted like we were Inconveniencing her, the food was excellent. I had grilled pork chops and my sister had a hamburger. We won't be back to the location in Denton all I can say is if someone doesn't like working with people they need another job.

This place was great when it opened but our last few visits have been further and further apart thinking they were dealing with staff turn around or such. That doesnt seem to be the case in terms of service and food now, which is a shame. Our visit last week was absurd in the time to get our food, the inattentiveness of the staff and having to leave the restauraunt with a take out order that was incomplete because their cooks cant plan accordingly. At this time, I am done with this location. We even talked with the table across from us about the same issues as we were both just waititng and waiting, even with the table call a server option.

I placed a To-go order for two servings of Spinach Dip at 9:35pm and was informed it would be complete in 5-10 minutes. I arrived at 9:40pm and stood at the to-go/ Carry out for 5 minutes, before having to go find someone to service me. Not to mention there were several servers whom passed by and didn’t acknowledge that I was standing there. I didn’t receive my order until 10:08pm. I checked my order after getting to my car and immediately wanted to try the croissants that were placed with my order. Only for them to be slightly burnt on the outside and uncooked in the middle. So I went back to the door to inform them of this matter and the doors were locked, and again everyone who walked by wouldn’t even acknowledge I was standing there with my order in hand. So I eventually called and spoke to someone who stated they couldn’t open the door but would remake the croissants. This is unacceptable costumer service, especially if I mention what was displayed.

I go here often because they're close, I enjoy this restaurant! Give it about 8-10 just because sometimes the salmon is too salty, and I've had a medium well steak a few times that's a little undercooked for my liking.

On Sunday around 2pm I placed an order for me to pick it up. When we got home we realized that the fish had a bad taste because we had to throw the food in the trash and nevertheless we ordered a potato soup we wrote that the person was super allergic to bacon and yet they never informed us that the soup still had bacon, thank God and I tried it first to make sure because otherwise we don't know what would have happened
