Prices are significantly higher compared to other African stores.
I gave Dafricana 4 stars, because the egusi soup was way too spicy but i could taste the flavors first before the heat punched me in the mouth. I don't think people who cook and eat spicy food all the time understand when a newbie ask about spicy level. They should have stickers that say mild, medium then numbness of mouth, tongue, teeth and lips. I am a no spicy to mild spice kind of girl. The jollof rice and the stewed chicken was my speed. I can't stop eating the soup though.
Only go here for things you can only find in African store. Imagine $10.00 for knorr. Just go to Walmart. Some items don’t have prices listed in them. You’ll find out the cost at the checkout counter.

The inflated prices at this store is some serious scamming. The owner doubles and sometimes even triples the average price of items. For example, plantain chips that cost 2.99 at other stores are 5.99 over here.
Dafricana supermarket denton is a one stop shopping center, good African food, different African clothing and styles. This a great place to shop for African foods. I love this place
