Great bear, great atmosphere, and a friendly staff. There’s a food truck right outside and a food truck park next door.

Denton County Brewing Company (or DCBC) is such a great place! Clean, spacious interior with a nice patio as well! Extensive beer selection to choose from and super friendly staff. Very reasonable prices! It’s a great place for a flight!

Starting off I had a great time- I was able to sample beers and a moscato to get exactly what I wanted- but then when I got a drink that tasted like it went rotten/bad after just sitting out there for a less than 10 minutes, I asked the bartender if I could switch it for another drink or for a new batch and she said no which was pretty unfair and frustrating. Our group bought lots of drinks and it wasn’t like I finished the entire drink I only drank a little and once I found it was bad I tried to return it and then the bartender said yes the drink will oxidize if you let it sit. I never knew that was a thing because had I known I would’ve drank it immediately.I will say it’s cool that the place is dog friendly as not all places allow dogs indoors. But it’s just unfortunate for being forced to waste a drink I didn’t like because the flavor drastically changed from what it was when I sampled it.Update:*** I appreciate that the owner replied. To the owner- the drink that tasted bitter after some time was not beer- I think it was a sangria or wine.

Been here a few times, and it's always a great spot to have a drink and chat. Love the new Menu boards, y'all!

Denton has itself a unique, fun brewery. They have some adventurous flavors. They also have a lot of different beer styles. The inside is cozy, with couches and some games. They also have some outdoor seating. They also have some walls that raise and lower, for the more temperate seasons. The man behind the bar gave some great recommendations and is clearly passionate about what he does.

University towns are usually great places to find craft breweries, and Denton Texas is no different. Denton County Brewing Co. is located a couple of blocks northeast of the Courthouse Square. While I was expecting a campus vibe, I was intrigued to find it with more of a locals feel.Nothing wrong with that, of course, because town and gown don’t always mix well anyway. The crowd was a lot closer to my age than it would have been with UNT and TWU students.DCBC has 23 of its own beers on tap, along with a few selected guest taps. If you can’t find something to our liking here, you’re probably not a beer drinker. I was stunned to find seven—count ‘em—-seven different IPAs, which meant I had my work cut out for me. Thankfully, they do small pours, because my flight of four was not going to cut it. My favorite from the samplings results in a pint of the winner.I did not do the Blueberry Fortune, since it is a milkshake IPA, and I don’t care for any lactose. But of the remaining six, five were definite hits, making it tough to choose one for the pint.Bring Da Ruckus (9%ABV) was the only one that did not get two thumbs up from me, because it is a triple. I could taste the alcohol, which is a turnoff for me. To each their own, though. Otherwise, Hop Blizzard (8.5%ABV) delivered as per its name suggests, a very hop-forward brew with a delightful finish. Kick Flip Cold IPA (5.1%ABV) was my overall favorite, and resulted in a pint. It is a very approachable potable, and left a somewhat malty finish as most cold IPAs do. You could drink a lot of these and be fine.Otherwise, London Fog, a NEIPA (7.1%ABV) was delightful on the front end, but on the back end left me wondering exactly what I was tasting. It wasn’t bad…I just couldn’t figure it out. HopNado (6.5%ABV) was superb, and was a close second for bonus pint honors, and were I staying a little later, I would have downed one of those too. Finally, Tony Hop Underground (8.5%ABV) was another solid entrant.Food trailers are available adjacent to the brewery, and a visit to Denton is not complete without a short walk around the Square and nearby environs. It may have been December, but it felt like Spring that night.Overall, nice quiet atmosphere and excellent brews. I will be back.

Great beers and atmosphere. Very fun and eclectic vibe inside, perfect for Denton near colleges. Could see it easily filling up but was still pretty lax when we went on a Saturday afternoon.
