My wife and I chose Hannah’s Off The Square for a pre-Valentine’s dinner on Friday night, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation as one of Denton’s top local spots.
I made our reservation through OpenTable, and everything was seamless from start to finish. The restaurant was easy to find with plenty of parking available, which made the evening start stress-free. From the moment we walked in, the staff warmly welcomed us and promptly escorted us to our table. The noise level was just right — lively but still perfect for an intimate conversation.
Annalise took great care of us all evening, serving with a beaming smile and checking in consistently to make sure everything was just right. We both started with the fresh, crisp kale Caesar — a perfect opener. For our entrées, I decided to be adventurous and ordered the seasonal wagyu, which was absolutely delightful and beautifully prepared. My wife couldn’t stop raving about her ribeye — cooked to perfection and full of flavor.
What truly elevated the experience was the attention to detail and hospitality. The chef personally delivered our mains, and the owner stopped by to welcome us, ask if it was our first visit, and invite us back for the next seasonal menu debuting in March. There was no rush, no negative energy — just a team that clearly takes pride in their craft and their guests’ experience.
We’ll definitely be returning for more date nights. Highly recommend Hannah’s Off The Square for anyone looking for a refined, yet welcoming fine dining experience in Denton.

What a tremendous night out for my wife and I, we just don't get out like we used to, so to have such a wonderful meal in a beautiful atmosphere meant the world to us! Drinks and wine were well thought out and brilliant. Had an Austrian Gruner-v btw. The dessert was unforgettable, pistachio mousse in a chocolate cup. We cannot wait to come back and try more items!
