This place was super chill and I will definitely go back. My only hesitation to visit was wondering if it was dog friendly. I did not see anything mentioning outdoor seating or being dog friendly. The most disappointing thing about my visit was arriving after dropping my dog off at home only to find that it is in fact dog friendly and had 2 dogs inside. The drinks were good and tasted better than the straight Kava I have made at home in the past.
Kid-friendliness: Don't bring your kids here. No official rule. I just say so.

What a cool place to hang out. I tried Kava for the first time and it was meekly interesting. Mellow. Nice. The bar person helped me decide what to order. She was very knowledgeable and a delight to listen to describe the various aspects of Kava infused drinks. I highly recommend this place. Come and hang out with a friend or a book.
Parking: Street parking in Denton can be tough. But found a spit no problem.

I would 100% recommend this place, especially if you’re sober and/or looking for an alcohol alternative. The entire community up there is welcoming, friendly, & Aiden has to be one of the nicest and most chill people I’ve ever met. He also mixes/makes his drinks perfect too. Bula!

Best experience! Andy helped us out and answered all of our questions and made us all feel welcomed and we had an absolutely lovely time there. It was worth the hour drive one way. The drinks were blended perfectly and absolutely delicious. I had the herbal latte with kava and I go back everyday if it wasn’t so far.

I love Kava so much. It's my favorite coffee bar in Denton. They have the most comfortable seating, they are generally quite, 100% vegan friendly, and they offer a variety of legal mood or mind-altering options, such as Kratom shots and Delta-8 drinks and cookies. They even have a little free library inside. They are often greatly understaffed, but the clientele is very understanding and is willing to wait for the poor barista to catch up to everybody's orders.
Vegetarian options: This place only offers vegan or vegetarian options, is my understanding.

Kava Bar is a lovely amalgamation of a bar and a coffee shop all at once. The vibe keeps social like a bar, but typically (during the day) folks aren't too loud, like a busy coffee shop. The staff are A+, I'd call them out but each one is a gem! Many are new to Kava and Kratom, the staff are quite knowledgeable and will help you find a delicious drink that perks you up or chills you out depending what you get! Enjoy a mild buzz without imbibing alcohol! I get a double crushed red elixir (red vein Kratom) with coconut creamer & caramel ? A unique and charming alternative bar!
Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome and there are plenty of non-buzz drinks for kiddo's like pomegranate ginger beer (nonalcoholic) or juices.
