Cheese Bread was toasted bread with minimal cheese on it. pizza's were okay but not up to the quality I've had from other Mellow Mushroom locations. certainly no where as good as the locations in NC/SC and I've eaten at a lot of MM restaurants in both states as well as multiple locations here in Texas and other states since 2001. I will not be eating from this location again.

I feel like the pizza has gotten worse over time. It's unbelievably high calories too, meaning they're taking shortcuts to making it quality good tasting pizza.
Pretezels came out extremely slowly, all different shape/sizes, and not fully cooked. Unacceptable. Pizza seems like it sat out for a little bit and the cheese was already congealing.
Pizzas are very expensive if you get something above 1 topping. They charge (like $3) for ranch, which is absurd. And the booths don't have cushions, meaning it's uncomfortable to sit on. Waitress was somewhat slow/non-attentive as well, while the place wasn't even busy. I could hear the kitchen yelling at them to pick up apps.
Edit: Owner replied to this post with honestly insane responses, lashing out immaturely and just being ignorant at times. I feel like this does a good job representing why they got a 2 star in yet another way. I have absolutely zero clue what you're talking about a competitor, and even if that was true, don't you think I'd leave a 1 star not a 2? I tried to be fair.
Your commentary on calories is dishonest, high quality pizzas are not defined by high calories, nor are all pizzas as high calorie as yours, even with one topping that is NOT in excess. Why even respond to that? Do you seriously think your pizzas are appropriate amount of calories? They aren't. There is a difference between low calorie, and "it's high calorie out of neglect/coping for poor quality"
Your pretzels weren't even fully cooked, I had 3 of the 6 with raw dough. Stop coping.
Also, you either are lying about ranch charges, or likely over charged me. Take your pick, both are bad.

I'm from Colorado so just had the opportunity to visit here for the first time. I was lucky enough to receive service from Eleanor, which absolutely made my night! Honestly, best server since arriving in Denton! I plan to come back before I leave, and might have to fly back again for the service and food!
A lovely local haunt. Great place to stop in for a slice. Eleanor was so helpful!

Excellent food, prices and atmosphere.
The food: it was exquisite, you could feel the freshness of each ingredient.
The prices: They were excellent since they give value to what you eat.
The atmosphere: it is very good, youthful and pleasant.
The place: It was super clean and smelled very good. And last but not least the service: excellent. The staff was very friendly, they gave us suggestions, informed us of the offers and were friendly, they definitely made you feel like family.
The waitress Brynn was wonderful, super helpful and attentive.

Staff had no idea what Happy Hour Specials were. We asked multiple times. You can't look online because its staff decision. Took forever to get apps, forever to get our food, manager ended up bringing our food out minus my wife's plate which was obviously rushed and thrown together. Off the excuse "they didn't want it to be cold". It was a steak and cheese hoagie haha. Sides weren't even cooked all the way and it was pretty much a cheese and pepper sandwich. Man this was by far the worst service I've had in a long time though. 2 stars because at least she was nice whenever she did decide to stop by. Had my kid passing out in my arms and didn't even get a chance to eat since it took an hour to get our food. Too many other places to eat on the square that have better service.
EDIT: Strolled by google reviews to see if things have improved, by the way the Owner is now responding to people on Google they obviously haven't.
