We love Mellow Mushroom and always make a point to stop by whatever location that is near to where we are at or going. This location we have been to twice when traveling to Dallas from Oklahoma and the pizza is always great! The service this last time we were here was really slow. The prices are good for what you get and the pizza is amazing, we just love the crust. Our favorite is the House Special pizza. highly recommend and will be back when we are in the area.

We were visiting Denton 3/23/24 and decided to try this place after doing some research, we were met with a less than enthusiastic young man that seated us. The restaurant wasn’t very busy at 2pm. It took a while for the waiter a young man took our drink order and took 10 to 15 minutes to get that at which point we were ready to order our food, we ordered a medium and small pizza, a burger, half order of pretzels half avacado hoagie and bruschetta. It took over an hour to receive this order but I was hopeful that the food would have been worth the wait but sadly it was not!The bruschetta was missing the fresh basil when asked said they were out so we sent it back. The avacado hoagie was a joke, the bun was stale and it literally consisted of 2 small slices of tomatoes, lettuce and avacado slices, I had to get a side of ranch to give it some flavor. The burger was small and overcooked and the tater tots for both were still cold had weird consistency like maybe they warmed them up in microwave they definitely did not come out of fryer gross, oh and when asked for ketchup advised us they were out. How can you be out of ketchup!!!The pizza was ok not the best I’ve ever had but at least we had that also the bathroom had no paper towels. Seemed like the young men working there were to mellow and spent more time talking with each other than waiting on customers which there weren’t many of. All in all this was a terrible dining experience all the way around and we will not be back. This was $115 I wish I could get back!

Unfortunately the service was not great, the manager and employees do not know the menu or what can be categorized for food sensitivities. When I asked if something had pork in it, the employee replied “I don’t know.” There was no agency to ask the manager or cooks, a simple “ I don’t know” that was the only response. When asked if something was vegan, they replied the same but eventually asked the manager with some prodding. The manager responded that one of the items in question, the soup, she “thought” was vegan. My family and I looked up the menu online and saw that the soup was not vegan. If you work in the food industry, your knowledge of the menu should be a necessity for not only the employees, but also the upper management. I hope they train their employees and management better and take this matter seriously.

We ordered a mushroom pizza w Canadian bacon. It did not arrive correctly. However, the mayo topping was surprisingly delish. The whole vibe was mellow, and we had to ask for a waiter to order beer and then ask again for someone else to take our food order. We were the only customers at the time. We almost left because of this....but our waiter turned out to be a lot of fun and very friendly. So there's that.Parking: You have to "back in" to your parking space in this part of Denton. We arrived earlier than your normal dinner crowd and were able to find a spot near the door.

The Mellow Mushroom in Denton just might be a little too “mellow“ for my taste.While the restaurant was very clean, the atmosphere was a little bland and uninviting. I think I expected more of a “groovy,” colorful vibe.We were seated quickly, our orders taken in an efficient manner, but other than that the service was just so-so. Despite our meal being early on a Saturday evening (not crowded), our server only checked in with us a few times.The food was very good and more reasonably priced than I expected. Nothing was really gained from the dining experience itself though. Based on my experience, one might want to opt to take their mellow to go.

First time at MM, I had a lunch special of 2 slices and an appetizer called Pretzel Bites. The app was delicious, dusted with Parmesan cheese, very unique. The pizza slices were great tasting, plenty for a full lunch.Our server was excellent, she was attentive without hovering.

Good Denton spot, definitely bring a light sweater though it is a little chilly. The cheese bread was my favorite item to try so far. Huge shout out to the server for the party of 6!! Lost my phone and the server helped us search for it.

Very disappointed. We order from this establishment often. Food is always been good. Today, we were not given the correct order. Restaurant owed us around 10 bucks. Not much to some but to me its a lot. Gave us smaller portions and charged us for a larger portion. When we called we were told nothing could be done cause we ordered from uber eats. This new way of ordering food gives restaurants the upper hand in shorting customers and wiggling their way from making things right. Hope those 10 dollars kept you in business. I will never order from this place again. Uber eats didn't mess up my order mellow mushroom did.

The food is always great! But the service was terrible. It took us an hour and a half to get our pizza. The runners and waiters were more interested in chatting with eachother and ignoring the guy making the pizza’s telling them constantly to come get the food that is ready. They were severally understaffed. The only person that was doing amazing was the bartender. He was making drinks and trying to help take orders constantly. Great food but I would just order it online instead of going inside to eat.
Pleasant clean. Our waitress Karen was terrific.I visited again about 3 weeks ago with my son and his family. Our waiter was Finn and he was very busy but made sure he tended to all his tables. He was also sweet to let me take photo with him.
Waited almost 40 minutes and none of the staff took our order, but they took another groups order that came in after us. Decided to leave and just eat elsewhere.

This is one of the best pizza joints in all of the DFW area, I’m convinced. Truly incredible pizza (the Kosmik Karma is to die for) impeccable atmosphere, and the service is so wonderful. My last server, Bear (Behr?) was simply wonderful (give them a raise.) 1000% my new fave splurge spot to take groups.Kid-friendliness: My server, Bear(?) who was an absolute delight, talked about band with my cousin (11yo) who just recently started, and the cousin loved them. Such an amazing experience.
