no thank you
This is only take out place and that's not mentioned anywhere and you won't know it until you drive up and try to get in.
The pictures are all from past and I wonder why they keep it still this way.
They use to be a wonderful restaurant with a great menu and good service. Now they moved they don’t have dine in. I ordered take out and not only was the menu way smaller, I arrived 15 minutes late only to be told they didn’t start my order until I got there. So I waited another 20 minutes for the food.

I really miss the old Milpa, the food I got from the ghost kitchen was very subpar and belongs in the fast food category. The flautas tasted suspiciously like other Mexican food places. Beans from a can and flavorless. Really annoyed that Denton only has three good restaurant options at this point.
Great and authentic Mexican cuisine. Delicious birria and asada tacos. Inconvenient to share a kitchen with a vegan restaurant though, have to specify from which restaurants' menu you want. Also, if the kitchen crew from the vegan restaurant is present then the food quality goes down a peg.

Each time I drive by, I cannot tell if they are open, closed, or out of business. There are never any cars in the parking lot. No signs of any lights on. I keep waiting to see one of those big dumpsters that you see when a restaurant has changed owners and is undergoing a redesign.

First I want to say the old Milpa location off I-35E was our favorite Mexican restaurant in Denton! The best food and we loved the margaritas too.
We didn’t realize that the relocation was also a conversion to a virtual restaurant-meaning that there is no place to dine in! It’s pretty much a ghost kitchen for Uber Eats/Door Dash etc orders. There is a little tiny counter in a hallway that you can order at. The employee who took our order was super nice and explained the changes to us very politely as we were confused when we got there that this was no longer a restaurant.
The food was good, but it was not the old Milpa’s quality food. I ordered the same thing that I used to order at the old restaurant (carne asada tacos) and it was good-just not the same. The chips included with the orders were stale, and the salsa portion was very small.
I’m sure we will still order Milpa’s to go occasionally, but I can’t say it’ll be our first Mexican food choice anymore. I’m sad to see the changes here!

Use to love this place when it was a full service restaurant. Ordered the food to go expecting the same quality. Absolutely not. Salty burnt fajitas. Terrible rice, pieces are burn and hard and greasy refried beans...looks like out of a can. Do not recommend.

Very hard to find and this appears to no longer be a sit down style restaurant. We circled the block twice to try and find it, finally went somewhere else.
I tried going here because it looked like a nice casual place for lunch. It's nothing like the photos or descriptions. It's now a pickup-only virtual kitchen. With what appears to be other restaurants' options also? I needed somewhere to go eat and I didn't have the option here. The description needs to be changed on Google.
Really liked this spot a year ago. It was a spacious restaurant with decent food and service, great prices, easy to get to location. It was located inside a motel which, granted, I probably wouldn't have dared stay in, but being there for a meal was fine. The interior was decorated well. Tried to go with a friend today and they have changed locations. We finally get to it which isn't in a very convenient spot and has almost no parking, only to find that there's no dine in and this is now a virtual kitchen set up. No, thank you. I wouldn't order this just carry out, I'd rather go to a food truck and get some really good Mexican food instead of pretty decent.
