While I almost exclusively review on this platform, my search engine results pulled up other review sites' comments on the quality of this BBQ. This search result was a quick rideshare trip from my hotel so I went to have my first meal in the city. There was a family in line before me, so I had time to explore the menu. Lots of options within the traditional BBQ expectations, yet not overwhelming or listing anything outside the sphere of likely offerings--I sometimes worry when I see too eclectic a menu since few restaurants do everything capably. I opted for chicken and ribs, and coleslaw. I also added a cup of their chicken/sausage gumbo. The gentleman at the window seemed serious and was polite and efficient. The young woman who brought my food out to the picnic table I chose was pleasant and made sure I had everything I needed. I found the portion filling and I had to push myself to eat the last rib. It was all very delicious, moist, and tender. The challenge finishing was solely due to the quantity. The price was fair and, other than the predominance of outdoor seating, I would be happy to host a business lunch there or go there on a casual date. I enjoyed the murals and building designs in this area. Another neat aspect of the location was its walking proximity to "Beer-muda."

Good service, friendly staff, that being said go for the pulled pork is the best item on the menu. Cannot taste any passion in the food. Asked for a moist brisket sandwich. Was super dry. Could not finish it so they let me exchange it for a pulled pork which is why i am rating them a 2 & not a 1

Ordered the $18 plate with a drink and it's totally not worth the price. The total price was $21 something and the brisket pieces were dry and flavorless as if reheated. Same with the sausage. I would not recommend this place.

I just moved to the area and love bbq. I have tried many places around the state. I have stopped here twice. The first time it was late so they had no ribs. I had the habanero sausage and brisket. I decided to come back to try the ribs. Well today I got the "whole pig" plate to go. The first problem was when i opened the container they had put the bread on top of the ribs. That pulled all the bark of the ribs. The brisket was falling apart and the taste was bland. the bbq sauce helped some with the taste. The ribs were over done and one rib was almost burnt. The borracho beans needed to be cooked longer because they were not tender. Was disappointed especially since I paid over $30 for my order. I hope this was only an off day.

Fantastic brisket! Chicken was better than most but still a bit dry. Fun little place but it is very small. Portions are very small.

The best brisket I've ever had! It was BBQ'd to perfection. I didn't even use BBQ sauce. Nice atmosphere, and friendly people.

Looking for some barbecue after taking grandson on first fishing trip. Juicy came up so gave it a whirl. Cool spot in old downtown Denton. Had the 3 meat with 2 sides. Brisket was good, ribs were fantastic and excellent chicken (dark) sides were green beans and. Jalapeño Mac abs cheese. Also they had boudin and got the last link. When they have it you should get it and it was terrific. So far my Best barbecue experience in north Texas. Also small inside but beautiful patio facing a cool mural. Great music playing from jazz to the dead. You gotta go

It's been a while since I have eaten here, and I am very impressed! The brisket was tender and tasty! All of the sides here are good. I had the cream corn and the guys had the smoked Mac n cheese and the potato salad. The service was quick and friendly. I like sitting outside to eat, and the cool mural behind us is fun too! I highly recommend this place!

Was really looking forward to finally having real Texas barbecue and overall I was very happy with the brisket sandwich and the Mac & cheese. The brisket was super tender and flavorful. The Mac & cheese was slightly grainy, but still tasted quite good. Was a little disappointed in the lime aid though - it was VERY sweet and lacked lime flavor. Would go back but will definitely order a differed drink next time. Would give it 4.5 stars if I could.

Absolutely love this place Juicy Pig Barbecue! Today was my first time stopping by and I'm glad I tried it. Delicious barbecue and I love the style of the place very Texan and laidback. I highly recommend this place so much flavor. I had the smoky mountain & brisket sandwich. They also have a unique great selection of beverages. I'll be back :)
