I went here with a date and I think they may have gotten new staff because there was an extremely racist bartender. My date left his keys at the bar, and they wouldn’t give him back his keys the next day until I (a white person) came and talked to the bartender. Despite how cool the interior may seem, I would NOT recommend coming here.

This was my second visit here (first time was years ago) and we had just come another bar where the bartenders were being very rude. I am actually pregnant so I was not drinking alcohol, but the other 4 in the group were. The bartenders were so nice, mine especially, I didn’t get her name, but she has dark hair, and 3 kids (youngest being 15month old). The group loved their drinks, and I had the Sunday best I think, the mocktail. I don’t normally like mocktails, but that was the best one!!!! Thank you for the great service and wonderful atmosphere.

The vibe is super nice. The service was great. There were lots of different seating arrangements for different groups. Some people even played darts. The one downside was the extremely loud music coming from the first floor. It often shook the floor and was somewhat disturbing.

Loved this local well known yet hidden gem. Quiet, quaint, & cozy with speakeasy vibes! My Prim & Proper cocktails and smoked old-fashioneds were delicious and beautifully crafted.

We had cocktail hour here after our wedding and the vibe is unmatched! We rented the space outside of business hours (you won't find somewhere more reasonably priced) and the staff was absolutely incredible!! Our guests are still talking about it almost a year later. Can't thank Paschall Bar enough.

I have been a regular off and on for 6 years and my most recent visit will be my last. Many of the classic cocktails I loved have been removed and replaced with much less impressive drinks with a higher price tag. I could look past that because of inflation…
The staff was no where to be found when we walked in, it took about 5 minutes of asking “hello!?” Till a staff member begrudgingly came from the back room to take our order. They were quite rude when I asked about the classic drinks that had been on the menu for 5+ years. I chose something new and it was fine… when I went for a second drink the bartender made a comment that implied she was frustrated to be at work and insinuated she was annoyed that it was beginning to get busier. It was just off putting as someone who has worked in the service industry for many years.
Seems that another Denton staple, that used to be filed with charm has been ruined with bad customer service and lower quality product.

Used to be a regular, but unfortunately they sold out to Dentons resident evil overlord Sparky and he corporatized the place; removing the charm, character and creative elements that used to make the place great. After all the good staff quit/jumped ship, the new employees also ended up mass quitting after their requests for security/fair compensation were denied/mocked so I guess now they’ve tricked some poor new kids into being their cocktail monkeys for substandard pay after being closed for months.

We have always wanted to check this place out, and we couldn't be happier trying it. Amazing...beyond unique cocktails! The only negative is cleanliness. The couches where a little gross almost like someone puked on it. Bathroom floors where beyond sticky. Other than that great cocktail bar. Cheers to cocktails!

Under new management, the drinks are no longer innovative or fresh. The new staff is unaccommodating, unprofessional, and has poor knowledge of their own spirit selections and bartending etiquette. I hope Paschall’s can find its way back to the charm and service it once had.

Hey, remember when your bartenders asked for a raise and instead of talking to them about their concerns you just fired them all and closed for a while? yeah that was fun to see. I wonder if anyone calculated the cost of benefit closed for a few weeks vs just paying the wages. Probably not, ego tends to rule over sense in these kinds of matters.

Victoria has helped me and my friends and family and is always really helpful - makes the perfect cocktails and is able to cater towards your preferences. I really appreciate her! She’s amazing!
