I will say that the food was quite good and the people are very sweet, the girl at the front and just other welcoming staff members. However I worry about the cleanliness of the place as I saw the inside of the trashcan and near lost my appetite. Our youngest wouldn’t eat after looking at it and seeing a bug. Shame to see a good restaurant suffer from an easy fix.

Slap Burger Bar delivered a quick, easy ordering experience with solid service, but the food itself was fairly average. It’s convenient if you’re in the area, especially with the fast turnaround time.
We ordered two burgers and fries, and everything came out quickly, which I appreciated. The staff was friendly and efficient. Parking is tight since it’s right by the UNT campus, but once inside there’s plenty of seating and minimal waiting. The burgers and fries were okay — not disappointing, but not particularly memorable either. It’s a straightforward spot that gets the job done without any standout flavors or features.
Overall, a decent option if you need something quick near campus, but not a destination stop for burger lovers.

Food was good got the slap burger and slap fries wife got chicken sandwich and sweet potato Fry's everything was fresh and good served in a timely manner will be back.
Food is amazing and we usually love eating here. Key word eating there, at the restaurant!!! Got there at 11pm they close at 12am went to order our food as we had been on the road all day and wanted to sit down to eat and enjoy our burgers. Well the girl at the counter priced to allow us to order our food before informing us they where only doing takeout since they closed in an hour. AN HOUR and refused to let us sit and eat our food which would have taken less than 20 minutes to do so. But now we get to drive another hour before we can even enjoy our food which at that point will most likely be cold. I get it is a bunch of collage kids running it at this time of day but 12am is 12am not 11pm no longer let a family sit down and enjoy their food. Unsure how long it will be if we even choose to come back at all.

I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and crinkle fries. The burger was truly a smash burger with crispy edges. Most places just make a thin burger and call it a smash burger. It was sooo tasty. The fries were seasoned perfectly. The sweet tea was good even with it being a fountain style. They also had other great fountain choices like root beer and cream soda.

Slap Burger Bar has the most delicious smash burgers in denton! Only a few minute walk from the center of UNT's campus, and easy access to fry street, your'e bound to have a delicious burger here; cooked to perfection. I've gotten both deliverey and have dined in, and their flavors are delicious and always consistent. (Plus they got really good cream soda on tap)
the crinkle cut fries are what shake shack wishes they were, just perfectly crispy and well seasoned. the burger was good too, I'll be back at some point to try some more menu options :)
I did enjoy their milkshakes and chicken sandwiches the best.

I typically don’t write food reviews, but this place made me so upset. I felt the need to write my review from the parking lot before I even drove home with my food. My wife found this place on TikTok and recommended we come here for dinner tonight, I decided to stop by on my way home from work and I order $90 worth of food. The drinks weren’t carbonated and they didn’t tell me that prior to me ordering my food so I ordered all these combos with no drinks. Then I asked for a manager to refund the combos and just let me get the burgers. He’s having such a hard time refunding the money that I say you know what let me just get shakes instead of sodas. they start making my shakes and halfway through making my shakes The power goes out on the machines, So now I have to sit here with food getting cold, and the shakes that are already made melting while they figure out the power issue and remake the other shake. I don’t know if they’re shorthanded what’s going on with management or what’s going on. But to pay $90 for cold burgers cold fries and melted shakes is absolutely ridiculous.
