The bluefin tuna sushi and the Wagyu sushi were absolutely outstanding fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. You can really tell the quality of the ingredients and the skill behind each bite. Huge compliments to the chef, because the execution and presentation were top-tier and clearly made with care and expertise.While the food was exceptional, the service unfortunately didn’t match the same level . That said, the quality of the sushi alone made was very delicious, and the chef truly deserves recognition for delivering such incredible dishes.

We have tried quite a few sushi restaurants in the area but this one is the best hands down. It is quite expensive but the quality is unmatched. We moved from Houston and were losing hope that we’d find something that could compare to our favorites but we found it! Interior is cute, service was great, but most importantly the sushi chef knew what he was doing! We will definitely be back.

Finally tried this place after driving by many times and wasn't disappointed! In fact, it's my new favorite sushi spot in Denton. The nigiri was super fresh, tender, and nicely cut, and the rolls were incredibly flavorful. They have a great variety and I can't wait to try more. The beef fried rice was also some of the best I've ever had. To top it off, our server (forget his name) was very friendly, attentive, and funny.

Sushi Motto is hands down the best sushi spot in Denton! The fish is incredibly fresh and the menu has an amazing variety of flavors to try. I’ve been a few times now and have been blown away each visit. The lemon pepper sushi is one of my favorites — the perfect slice of salmon and bold, bright flavors. The madai truffle carpaccio had a nice kick, while the salmon avocado carpaccio was perfectly balanced. The unagi was also spot on, with just the right amount of sauce.
Our server Peter was phenomenal — very professional, knowledgeable about the menu, and his recommendations were outstanding. After living in Denton for over 10 years, I can confidently say no other sushi restaurant (Blue Ginger, J Sushi, or I ❤️ Sushi) even comes close to Sushi Motto.

My boyfriend had the lion King roll and he said that it was the best role that he ever had! I had the salmon roll and the Franky roll if I’m not mistaken. It was probably the best sushi place that we have ever had! Service was a 10 out of 10 very intimate and great music. It was also very beautiful in there, great for a good date night! Definitely a 10 out of 10 I recommend everybody to go there. :)
This is a hidden gem my wife and I just went to for the first time. Our litmus test for sushi restaurants is ordering the O-torro (fatty tuna belly). It's not cheap, but it will tell you if they can source and prepare really high end cuts of fish.
Well, they passed the test with flying colors. The fat striations in the tuna were visible and plentiful and the cuts melted in your mouth. Also got an appetizer and a baked scallop roll. Bot were also amazing. The server was super friendly and cool as well. Good vibes all around!

Wow! Just WOW!! I have eaten at some of the best sushi restaurants in DFW - Nobu, Komodo, Uchi, etc - and this place rivals them all!! Their quality ingredients are evident in their authentic use of Wasabia and some fabulous in-house sauces! Everything we had was fantastic! And the service was the right mix of attentive, respectful, and informative. What an amazing hidden gem of a place! Pro tip: order the Franky Roll and the Wagyu Lover Roll. Thank me later.

This is by far the very best you’ll ever have!!!! Since this is under New ownership it has become our new #1 spot..... and we know amazing Sushi! Chef/Owner James Bond has such delicious and expensive cuts of fish that you cannot really find at most Sushi places, and his style of dishes has made them our New Favorite Spot. We eat Sushi about 3 times a week and will drive very far to get good Sushi and now we can stay local because of him. Thank you James for taking over Sushi Moto..... because of you Denton now has an Amazing Sushi Restaurant! When you go you must try to sit at the Sushi Bar and get the most charismatic service from James...... Top Notch all the way!
