I had lunch today at The Catch in Denton. What a nice experience with the best service from April. April was very helpful and friendly. Such a pleasure to meet her very nice lady.
Jessica and the gang do it perfectly. Family style, your way. Add oysters.
I 100% would not recommend the boil. Yummy flavors as expected but boy was the crab super skinny and hard to peel ! For some reason the shell was stuck on the Crab and shrimp almost like they glued it on lol
And whoever packaged my to go order had to be laughing because this plate was a joke

Food is great but staff is rude and service is sub-par at best.
*Edit. I apologize for not providing feedback when I reviewed four years ago! The issue I had was that the crab was extremely overcooked, the texture dry and a bit rubbery.
Do not eat here if you shellfish allergies they use same batter for shrimp and fish they fry everything in same grease I winded up in hospital for 3 days this place almost killed me

Either food poisoning or 24 hour flu from and employee!
I wasn’t going to post any review until the store manager stuck to what I call the “corporate response” and had no empathy or acceptance in any way.
I ordered the Captain’s combo and a side of Gumbo. It tasted good and seemed cooked as it should be; however, that was until I woke up at 2:30 in the morning. I was on the toilet with diarrhea and puking multiple times during the night, and was out most of the next day sleeping and having no appetite.
When I spoke to the store manager, I prefaced the conversation by saying I was not interested in a refund or free food, just simply for them to be more careful.
The store manager began to do what I call the “corporate response” by saying there was no way it was their food, and since noone else called in as sick, it had to be just something I ate that day or some other factor. She then ADMITTED that a crew person did call in with a “24 hour flu bug” which then she said was “impossible” that I could have got because that employee called off. This store manager forgets that the people with the flu bug are contagious before and after symptoms show; therefore, that employee could have given it to another person who was present the day my order was made. This person could have touched the container my food was put in or on my rice; all it takes is one little drop of contamination to cause someone to get sick.
As the food left my body and after about 24 hours, I felt better and had an appetite again. The fact that this manager didn’t even want to acknowledge that maybe something could have happened, and that she would review with the staff about safety precautions is why I write this. She instead treated me as if I was the cause of my own sickness, even after stating I got sick after eating food from their restaurant. This is not acceptable and this manager needs further training herself, especially when you have a customer that is asking for nothing in return but a simple “I’m sorry, I will look into this, and remind employees about food safety.” Do better!

The food isn't my favorite, but it's not bad. I ordered the fried shrimp po boy. The shrimp was great, but the sandwich itself wasn't very good. The bread was crunchy, crumbley, and flakey. It was difficult to enjoy the sandwich when it was falling apart. The service was great! Staff is super friendly.

Food is super good. Have been on several occasions. However, the last time we went there was a roach in the bathroom. I can’t unsee that.

This is my go to place for seafood on the go. Drive thru orders mostly.
They have a lot of food options, I usually go with fish and shrimp combo.
Let's talk about a few things:
FOOD:
Hot and fresh. Love their seasoned fries and shrimp. The fried fish can use some more seasonings. Hush puppies are a hit or miss, mostly miss.
Service:
Is ok. The servers/cashier are generally polite and will come to you promptly when needed.
Atmosphere:
A little dated. Bathrooms can use some upgrade. The chairs and tables felt "greasy". Perhaps a hot water wash may help.
Overall a good place for a quick bite.

I love the food and management. Yet, some of the staff needs a little more training in how to deal with business, customer service, and accepting accountability when they make mistakes. Other than this, I will still go back. Will recommend some good seafood..
Dietary restrictions: When taking a break to reset your cholesterol and make better choices for health reasons, the grilled fish and shrimp are really great
