Best Korean option available near campus. Authentic, simple, cheap for the amount of food you get!
Would recommend folks to just walk from campus instead of parking nearby… I had difficulties finding parking in the middle of the day.

came inside to check if they had my favorite soda , didn’t see it so i left, the girl accused me of stealing ice cream, very weird and racist. chased me outside to check my bag, never coming back.
Korean restaurants in university towns are suitable for Asian tastes. You have to collect your own plates when you pick up your own meals.

I've come to this place over the years. Love the family vibe, the staff are so kind. Not a ton of Korean food in Denton, so it's kind of a little treasure. We got beef and chicken bulgogi and fried dumplings today. Loved all of it, and the banchans. Diverse drink options, and my friends and I had a great time. We weren't rushed at all, and want to keep coming back. Not busy when we went, parking lot is small but the place is cute and worth even a small walk!

One of the best tasting restaurants in denton, which is a shockingly high honor! Incredible taste and kind and quick staff, a large array of options and side dishes, and a calm atmosphere make for one of the best places around! Being so close to unt campus is a definite plus as well!

The owner was so kind and the food is So good and authentic. Very similar to the Korean food I grew up eating !
I ordered pick up through door dash and the owner recommended I call next time so it would be less expensive.
Will definitely be ordering again! Thank you ! I miss my mom’s cooking and Carrollton is just too far to drive to to get good Korean food. Thankful this place is in Denton!

We were in the area and wanted something delicious, so we tried out The Taste. To put it short, it's a hole in the wall--the food was delicious and very authentic. We had to drive about an hour home, and the food was still hot and fresh. I absolutely loved their little side dishes and wished that we had more, but it was totally enough for the two of us!
The service was not too quick, but that's how we like it. We came in when they were near closing, but they took great care of our order. The staff was nice, and they carefully packed our soups. By the time we came home, nothing spilled!
There wasn't much of an ambiance there. It's a tiny place with seating, and we did takeout; however, although it doesn't look like much, we highly recommend you to try out the food here. It was cheap and delicious, and that's all that matters really.
Parking: Park right out front!

Was craving some comfort food (I may look white as rice but I was raised by my Korean grandmother ?) so I thought I’d finally try this place out since I’ve lived right down the road from it for years now. I typically will just make the drive to Carrollton to get my fix, or just cook at home when I have time to go to Hmart.
Anyways I ordered a Beef Bulgogi Eagle Box and I was a bit disappointed. The meat was not tender, and most of it was extremely fatty. Personal preference of mine, but typically with bulgogi I can withstand the few extra chewy bits…but this was 95% meat I was gnawing on for minutes until I eventually gave up. Of that entire portion I was maybe able to eat 1/4 of it. I ended up using my own gim to eat up the rice and kimchi. Speaking of the kimchi, I don’t know if it’s made in house but I really enjoyed it! Nice spice level and wasn’t too sour.
I wasn’t expecting onion rings, they were just meh. The shrimp tempura was completely flavorless, however I dipped mine in some ssamjang (not sure if they offer sauces at the restaurant the menu is very vague). The dumpling was good, I would likely get a full order of those next time.
Overall, good option for homesick students. I don’t think I’d ever order the Bulgogi again but I am interested in trying the kimchi stew, and ramens.
