Hillman's Seafood & Fish House

So frustrated with the business and having to write this review. It truly is a lovely business and the owners are the sweetest so I don't take lightly leaving a low star review. We have gone to get seafood twice in 48 hours and been over charged both times. The first time, we return to the store and they were very happy to rectify the issue, which was appreciated. The second time I called them since I was already a ways from the store. Of course they offered me to come back to get a refund or let them know the next time I go in and they will rectify the situation, which I also appreciated. The reason for the review and the two stars is the poor attitude of the employee. There was no accountability for the miscalculation. After acknowledging that there was a couple of dollars that was overpaid, he said it was the machine's fault and he only did the with the machine said. I let him know that although I can understand that, it's not my responsibility as a customer to make sure the scale is giving out the correct and that the only reason it's an issue now is because it's happened twice in such a short period of time. I will not lose any sleep over a couple of dollars and I always love to support a local business. I called the store because I wanted the situation to be acknowledged and be giving reassurance that this isn't a reoccurring issue and instead just a couple of examples of human era. Sadly that isn't what happened. This location has great quality products and the owners are very pleasant. However I do believe this staff member's response and customer service was a bad representation of the business as a whole.

Best, freshest, and largest shrimp in the area.
Cant buy my shrimp at any HEB since finding this place.
I go out of my way to get it there and always well worth the drive from Spring, TX.

Best fresh shrimp and crawfish around. They handle the crawfish properly. Very few dead ones. Nice local hideaway to avoid the stupid crowds at other places and they are just Good People !!

Crawfish were good size.... Prices were good and seafood was fresh...

Their price for a gallon of oysters is $79. Same gallon is $48 at Rose's and Golden Seafood.

Small family owned business with great selection of fresh fish, shrimp, crabs and crawfish (or whatever is seasonal at the time). They also have in their frozen section bay scallops, jalapeño hushpuppies, and royal reds. Good prices too!

On Friday afternoons, when the fresh crab shipment comes in, I love picking up some blue crab claws and treating myself—they’re always delicious. Hillman’s is super convenient to get in and out of, which makes the whole experience even better. It’s definitely my go-to spot!
