Monterey's Little Mexico Dickinson

Dinner to go on 03-30-25 at 6:30 pm…. Chose this place because we assumed it had improved with new owners… It hasn’t in my opinion. I wanted fajita nachos and was going to Chilis until someone mentioned Montereys. The chips & salsa at chili’s is far superior to Monterey’s. Not only that, nachos shouldn’t look like you just dumped ingredients into a plate of chips. You shouldn’t have to eat nacho’s with a fork. I can’t say it enough, chili’s is way better. The chips are actually fried not baked. It’s a shame a variety restaurant does a foundational dish of Mexican food better than a classic Mexican food restaurant…

Rice and beans outstanding, the tortillas to the enchiladas was hard. Service was good, attentive, atmosphere is like it's on its last leg.

Apparently the manager decided to enforce payment over the phone for pick up orders. This is ridiculous, honestly. Won't be dining here again..

This is definitely a hidden gem! Amazing food, atmosphere, and service. I also had one of the best drinks I’ve gotten in a long time. The bartender Shaniqua is AWESOME! I will definitely be back.

What a phenomenal evening with Billy as our server. He knew the menu inside and out, table side decorum was above par, he snagged 2 customers back to the fold!!! Thank you Billy for a wonderful evening!

I’m so happy with the new owners and management here! We love coming here and sitting at the bar with Shaniqua. The drinks are always great and the birria tacos are on point!

I had wonderful dining experience at Montereys. I sat at the bar and Shaniqua was very attentive polite she also recommended a few drinks I’ve never tried and they were delicious! The food was good as well and came out in a timely manner. I will definitely return to try to some the weekly specials as well! ?
