We spent lots of time this weekend at Tillie's- we enjoyed the Afternoon Tea, evening drinks at the bar, complete with Truffle Fries and Honey Cake, breakfast and dinner. The staff was amazing from being greeted by Heather, to Jeremy making sure that our tea was an exceptional experience. The history lesson before the meal was awesome and made the ambiance even more exceptional. The managers were amazing at checking on us and greeting us each time as we were long lost friends. Kennedy and Lexi at the bar made sure we were taken care of even when we were seated in the dining room. Carson was also fantastic. We met lots of other staff members as well. Tillie's was a hidden gem- it transports you through the service, ambience and food. You are made to feel welcome and at home each time you visit. I hope to be back! Thank you Camp Lucy and Tillie's

Food and atmosphere was great, service could have been better, if we saw our waiter more we maybe would have ordered more

Such a beautiful restaurant with amazing architectural features. Our waitress, Selena, was gracious, attentive and informative. Food was outstanding! From the bread, to the salads, crab cakes and short ribs. Highly recommend. Location is hidden, but worth the lovely drive.

I selected this restaurant based on positive reviews and chose it as a place to meet a friend I had not seen in over a year. The service began well but quickly became inconsistent, with difficulty locating our server and limited drink refills. The food did not meet expectations. The appetizer was acceptable but caused my friend to feel unwell afterward, and the steak was not cooked as requested. With a bill exceeding $200 for two people, the overall service and food quality did not align with the price point.

An absolutely beautiful venue. I wish everyone could visit this restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is great. Camp Lucy is worth exploring after a great lunch or dinner.

I love the atmosphere at Tillie's. The crab cakes were okay, but the salmon was delicious. I also love their honey cake and cocktails.

This restaurant is stunning. The architecture and art is one of a kind. The food was also delicious minus the fee for splitting a plate. The steak was unforgettable, and the 10 layer cake was oh so desirable. The service from their bartender/server was superior.

Food was excellent but service was subpar. We came to celebrate our anniversary after getting married at Camp Lucy, and they never acknowledged it was our anniversary despite writing this on the reservation.

The service was not as expected for a restaurant of that price. The food was well presented, generous portions but parts of it was not warm enough such the drip coffee and the cinnamon roll which I ask to be warm up. The waiter showed up way far in between. I had to chase her a couple of times.

The price of the food and the service don't match. The service was rushed. We started the meal with a cocktail and shortly after our drinks arrived the waiter came back for our food order. From the order placement until the food arrived was about 7 minutes. We had not even finished our cocktails. It was obvious that the food was prepared as the vegetables were cold and the meat was warm. Plates were bused also as soon as we were finished then waited for 15 minutes for the checks. The food was not worth the price. The herbs were poorly matched to the dish. Cilantro on cherry Demi-glazed? Gross. This is a skip. There is better food and serve at the dinners in town.

Service was pretty good and the restaurant is very beautiful. However, the food took quite a while to come out and two orders were cold and wrong. The food was honestly nothing special - omelet was dry/overcooked. Drinks were great but overpriced. Feeding the llamas was great fun for the kids. But, if we ever go back again, it would just be for drinks.

Tillies is back! After some serious hurdles with staff turnaround, service, chef juggling, etc., Tillies is back and as wonderful as ever, led by the excellent new managers, Tony and Ozan. Food is absolutely fabulous as ever as well. I only docked a star bc service was still a bit slow, but to be fair, it was VERY crowded. Congrats, Tony and Ozan for bringing our magnificent Tillies back from the wreckage!

Tillie's Restaurant is a masterclass in dining, defined by anticipatory service and culinary excellence. From the moment you arrive until you leave, the exceptional care and flawless execution strongly suggest a Michelin star is well within reach. The service is nothing short of impeccable. The staff exhibits a rare, almost telepathic understanding, delivering my favorite cocktail immediately, pre-order. This personalized touch was expertly balanced with acute social intelligence: they respected my companion's shifting tastes by patiently waiting for her to confirm her preferred selection. The food selection, built on fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients, is extraordinary. From the first bite to the last, the meal was pure culinary joy—a testament to the kitchen's passion for quality. Furthermore, Tillie's distinguishes itself with its wine program. The selection is deep and thoughtfully curated, yet the pricing remains remarkably reasonable. Tillie's provides an ethical model, making even exceptional vintages accessible rather than relying on aggressive markups. This establishment operates at the pinnacle of the dining world, where every detail is executed with flawless dedication. Global recognition is certain to follow quickly.

As they say, it just ain't what it used to be. We've been coming here for years, but it seems to be getting snootier and less welcoming each time. We still miss when they used to serve the biscuits with honey butter — little touches like that made it feel special. Prices have always been on the higher side, but they used to feel fair for the quality and service. Now they're just exorbitant, and the service doesn't match. We were even told we couldn't order an appetizer before our main course, which makes no sense — especially when entrées take nearly an hour to arrive. And $20 for a cocktail in the Hill Country? That's pushing it. When I asked for another drink menu so our table of four didn't have to share one, the waiter scoffed and said he'd have to take one from another table. Then he asked for it back once I was done — really? For a “fine dining” spot, you'd think they could print more menus. It's the little things that make a place feel special, and unfortunately, those details are what Tillie's seems to be losing. I hate writing reviews like this, but after years of great experiences here, I had to share our recent disappointment.
