⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Papas BBQ in Cedar Hill off Hwy 67 is consistently a win. The place is always clean, welcoming, and the staff genuinely seems happy to be there—which says a lot these days. You can tell they take pride in serving their guests, not just going through the motions.
Special shoutout to Andrew, one of the managers. His leadership really stands out. During my visits, the crew clearly respects him, everything runs smoothly, and the positive vibe starts at the top. If leadership mattered in BBQ (and it does), Andrew’s got it locked down.
Now… we must talk about the Baby Back Ribs. I was told Cam cooked my slab, and listen—this review would be a lie if I didn’t say I ate the entire rack in one sitting. I don’t want any “baby backs” unless Cam is on the grill. Absolute perfection.
I’m already telling my coworkers about this location, and I’ll be back soon—probably sooner than I should. If you’re debating where to eat, stop debating and go here.

First, walking in, the restaurant was clean and bright. The kitchen was clean from my vantage point. This is a huge deal for me. I will turn around and walk out if it’s not.
Second, the young guy who greeted us was friendly and let us know how to order. The cashier was friendly.
Third, the food was pretty good. The sides were generous helpings. The candied yams were super good. First time I’ve ever had them at a BBQ restaurant. My wife’s ham plate was quite tasty. I’d give them 5 outa 5 stars. My chopped brisket pi-boy had a great flavor. However, it was rather dry and the meat was nowhere close to warm or hot. When ordering, make sure you as for your brisket to be hot and a mix of lean and moist. Like I said, the flavor was great (significantly better than Spring Creek), but it was cold and dry. There are plenty of free sides like pickles, onions, etc.
Finally, I will definitely return. I think the sides and flavors were great. Just asking for a hot meal next time. Also, plenty of leftovers to take home for a second meal. I felt the prices were fair for a BBQ restaurant, especially with the portion size and leftovers.

Love this restaurant! Found on my way leaving Costco. Was very please with the low amount of people since I like to eat in peace. Serving size are perfect. Green beans nice and crisp love them! Brisket on point! Mac and cheese great! Bread soft and fluffy, bar b que sauce on point! We love that we feel like we are eating at home in our dinning room!

Saturday I placed a large order including several pounds of meats, sides and desserts. The entire staff were all hands on deck ensuring my order was correct. The manager Andrew made sure I had fresh hot food and he gave me an ETA. Andrew carried my order to my car. He suggested that he do so. My mother was impressed as with all of my family with hoelw good everything was.

So I ordered a beef brisket baked potato and was given raw meat inside. I had to come up to return it and was told it was the fat from the meat. India who claimed she was the manager refused to give me a refund and only offered to remake. Someone can get seriously ill behind that and I just felt like it wasn’t enough care or

I travel a lot and hunt down burgers everywhere I go. Out of all the places I’ve tried across the country, the best burger I’ve ever had is at… Pappas BBQ. Yep, a BBQ joint.
The burgers are insane—juicy beef, soft bakery buns (the best damn buns) and seasoned perfectly. The patty melt is WOW and the bacon cheeseburger with smoked bacon and melted cheese will honestly change your life. I don’t understand the magic in this burger.
And the fries? Forget frozen bag fries—these are clearly fresh-cut, perfectly crispy, and seasoned so well you’ll catch yourself licking your fingers like a kid. Order double because you’ll definitely polish them off.
After you’ve had the burger, I highly recommend a second visit and trying the brisket stuffed baked potato. This is another item you can add to your dinner favorites list!
