Absolutely Incredible Cajun Food and Flawless Service! (5/5 Stars)
My experience at Pelican House was nothing short of exceptional! This is easily a five-star establishment, and I can't recommend it highly enough.
The Cajun food here is authentic and mind-blowingly delicious. Every dish we tried was perfectly seasoned and cooked with an evident passion for the cuisine. It was the kind of meal that makes you want to slowly savor every bite. If you're looking for genuine, high-quality Cajun cooking, look no further—Pelican House nails it.
Beyond the fantastic food, the service was truly immaculate. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and perfectly cared for. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and struck that perfect balance of being present without being intrusive. Everything was prompt, and the entire team seemed dedicated to ensuring a flawless dining experience.
Pelican House offers the complete package: incredible food and unbeatable service. Do yourself a favor and visit—you won't be disappointed!

I visited the Pelican House for a spectacular Birthday Party on Saturday 9/27/2025, however, to my surprise the quality of the food for this place was DISRESPECTFUL to not only the Birthday Girl, but also her guest. Everyone in attendance was shocked regarding the amount of food being served due to knowing the person throwing the party. As an individual that cares deeply for this person, I was so upset that her night was being brought down by the mere tally of every cup of water/tea being charged to her post account. How dare such a money hungry person charge what I later found out her pre-party price charged was for 3hrs and no drinks to be included.. And her food was being served on a saucer not a dinner plate. We were served bland jambalaya (rice/sausage) not truly jambalaya, meatballs were tasteless, and the 2 drumettes that were served either fried or grilled, not a real grill drumette (tyson frozen).. Please Do Not ever If you prefer a Quality Event plan a gathering At The Pelican House in Duncanville, Tx...

I had a party for 30 to 35 people on Saturday September 27th...the food was served on a saucer instead of plates...the food wasn't worth the amount that I paid inadvance for my party....and water , tea nor lemonade was included 🙃 and then they had No place for my birthday cake and no knife to cut it.. they didn't even wonna supply plates for the cake....I will never ever have a party there anymore...I paid over $2000.00 for this party ...where is the rest of my food Highly disappointed.. the jambalaya was watery...the meat balls were tasteless...the wings wasn't good Mr. Lewis should be ashamed of his self...my guest had a good time best thing was the SALAD...1WILL NEVER GO BACK.. MY FEELINGS WERE SO HURT...IT WAS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY AND NOT THE CLIENT...SO EMBARRASSING

I love this place. It was our first time here and everything was great. The service was amazing. The drinks were perfect. The food was that Cajun taste thats unbeatable. Everything is cooked to order so be prepared to wait but it’s worth it. I was worried about the prices AT FIRST but the service, portion, and food quality are worth the price. And it’s really not too unreasonable. We paid like $19-25 per plate. I wish I took pics but the food was too good to wait
It was my first time visitng this resturant. I was greeted promptly and warmly upon entering the resturant by Lou. The resturant is clean and soft music set the tone. I instantly felt relaxed. I had the stuffed shrimp appetizer. The shrimp tasted extremely fresh and it was very good. My main course was the crawfish etouffee. I felt like I was eating my family's house back home in New Orleans. It was great. I finished off with beignets. They were delicious. It truly felt like the soul of Louisiana; NOLA to be exact. Thank you for bringing a peace of NOLA to Texas. I will be back.

It was a below expectation experience.
The Sunday brunch was far from their weekday menu. Not seafood dishes. Turkey neck, turkey patties, some kind of chicken. Jambalaya that was interesting, the menu said white navy beans but was actually lima beans, like 3 the rest was the soup or rue with a box of salt.
And the salad bar. I have no words except if you are less than 5' tall you might need assistance getting to it.
Plastic plates and cutlery.
The service staff are very accommodating and friendly. It is a quaint atmosphere 8 to 10 tables.
For a home style meal it could be your place only if you are in the area.
