If you want some real authentic barbacoa...uhhhh....you better go early. I'm going to guess they sell out by 12pm.This isn't your typical 'go in and order a sandwich' place. This is a buy it and take it home....and share it with like 5 other people. It's a lot! And it's not just good....it's authentic and delicious! Everything you can expect from a quality taqueria specializing in barbacoa, tamales and carnitas.I wasn't even close to Eagle Pass, but figured I'd pull on over and visit because of the reviews on Yelp and I was glad I did.If you're running the Texas border and find yourself within 50 mi of this place (which is close in extreme SW Texas) and feel like some good barbacoa, and carnitas, then stop on by.

We always stop at Piedras Negras Tortilla and get some barbacoa, refried beans, chicharrones, salsa and flour tortillas before we make our way to Dallas. Their tamales are the best. Very cheap price $9.90 a dozenThey never disappoint. Really good, hearty, comfort food and their salsas are the best.Very satisfied and very courteous and friendly young staff.
