For Bonvoy members looking in the McAllen area it’s good. No bellman or concierge or room service of course. But the free breakfast and the bar in the evening are adequate for a hotel in the $150-$200 range. It’s clean and new. There’s cool new stuff nearby. Lots of cool new stuff. And it is very nearby. Ask for extra pillows.

Townplace was the best stay that I've had. I got sent here for work for a year and this hotel became my home. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Alex always has a smile on her face and Corbin is always making sure my stay was perfect. The environment in the bar makes it easy to meet people or to just hang out with friends. My room was always very clean, and everything was replaced twice a week.

TownePlace Suites by Marriott is a great place to stay. Whether your stay is short-term or long-term, you will enjoy it. The building itself is clean and well maintained. I stayed in a regular room and it’s got everything I need. Dishes and silverware are provided along with pots and pans so that I can utilize the kitchenette in the room. The bed is comfortable and soft, so sleeping is no issue. Internet is fast! The staff is super friendly and care about their customers, especially Alex. If you have any issues with your room whether small (like getting toilet paper) or big (like having electrical issues), just notify the staff and they will handle it. Rosa and Juanita serve breakfast and their service is stupendous. I couldn’t go about my day without getting breakfast. Thanks to the staff, my stay was a pleasure.
This is an awesome place if you want a cozy place to go with friends or your loved ones staff is great and the outtaeating is perfect

After a year I can honestly say that this is one of the best long term hotels I have ever stayed at. Top notch service and personnel. If your ever in the Rio Grand Valley don't hesitate this is the best hotel for the price.
