Tejanos is a clean, cozy spot with good ambiance. The staff are polite, sweet and friendly. More staff came quickly and check on every table. Food is fresh, delicious and well portioned. Lunch is outstanding, warm, hot, crisp and the meat is well-seasoned, juicy and cooked with care. The half chicken is well cooked, not overcooked, legit and served hot. Beans are tasty, rice is delicious and perfectly seasoned, even a bit spicy with roasted jalapeno. Salsas are a 10/10. The service is excellent, most important the food is fresh and hot. Family recommend this restaurant and will be back to try other items. The lunch time is the BEST and the plato de comida is respectable. The restaurant is on 2812 and is a proper South Texas lunch done right. Family can tell there is real pride behind the food and the service.
