Loved this place for a nice evening dinner with a few beers, been told they no longer have a license to sell.. Can say I will miss their food, but will go to another place.

As soon as you walk in the place smelled like dirty old cooking oil. The establishment needs some deep cleaning the smell should have been a red flag to leave the machacado with huevo was too salty to eat and the taco was really small the tortillas were also too thick and tasteless the hash browns were hard and undercooked disappointed and not going back

We always stay at the Confort Inn when we come down to the valley and we walk across to eat at The Moonlight Cafe. We always enjoy a couple drinks and chips and dip before our meal. Tonight the first thing I notice is a note on the top of the menu stating chips and dip $2.50. Seriously, we’re at a Mexican restaurant near the border and you have to pay for the chips and dip? I know the last time we were here the first round of chips and dip was free but we were charged when we asked for more. The next thing we were told the only cold beer they had was Corona which we don’t like. However, the service was excellent and the food we ordered was good. We paid cash so had to ask for the extra 3% merchant fee be removed from our bill. Pretty sure we won’t go back.

After being a regualr customer for years, i am highly disappointed in the service my daughter and i received today. My daughter asked for a tea to go, the server then asked me and I said no thank you. When we received our ticket, he brought 2 drinks, one for me and my daughter which I did not ask for then proceeded to charge for both. I kindlyasked the man doing the checkout what was being charged and he said 4x drinks. I asked for it tibe removed since I didn't ask & left my drink at the table. I then was met with the owner who was willing to remove the drink BUT THEN. He says that he was going to charge the server & I thought that was super unprofessional and not very kind. He was also getting upset with him in the middle of the restaurant which made me feel horrible about the entire situation. I just feel like this all could’ve been more professionally. Also the menudo had barely any meat.

The wait staff were very helpful and always around. The fajita on the fajita plate were tasty but seemed different. The chimichanga was beautiful to look at and tasted good. The crispy tacos were fine and enjoyable. And of course the nacho chicken was delightful
